I had a great time at Universal this past weekend.. Just wanted to note a few things.
* Rode Back To The Future for the last time on Friday. I got there really early.. 8:30am? And was able to enter early since I'm a Passholder. That was really nice of them to do that. I was able to ride it twice with no wait and got a picture with Doc and Marty in front of the sign. It was sad but maybe Hollywood will keep theirs open a little longer? Still, I can't wait for what's next. Next year!
* Rode Revenge of the Mummy 3 times with no wait.. Once in the front, once in the back, and then a team member saw us going in again and recommended that this time.. we should sit in the back row and after the car turns backwards, keep our heads turned around facing the back. IT WAS SO DISORIENTING! AND SCARY. I LOVED IT.
I even felt like we were going upside down at one point. I'm getting dizzy just thinking about it.
* E.T. had a long line but that queue is my favorite in Universal. So much to look at.. There has to be a way to utilize the Express side when theres absolutely no Express holders coming through, no?
* Got Galaxy Defender on MIB for only the 2nd time in my life! Thanks to this lady who had a score of 440,000 (WHAT A WOMAN!!).. everyone else had scores over 100,000 - 300,000. If she's a DIS reader, THANK YOU! I owe you a suit!
* Ate at Nascar Sports Grille. Enjoyed their asian wings, onion rings and ribs. Really good. I would go back.
* Jennifer Lopez on The Ellen Show was AMAZING! I really didn't think she'd come on since I imagined her to be a pretty big diva but she performed in the rain and did awesome. It was so much fun. She came on the mic and was like "You guys aren't afraid of a little rain right?? F#*# It!" Haha.. I waited two hours in the rain but it was worth it. Make sure to watch the Ellen shows at Universal Orlando resort today, tomorrow and Wednesday.
* Ellen on Jaws was ESPECIALLY HILARIOUS! I can't wait for you to see that if you haven't. That'll air on Tuesday.
* Got SOAKED on Jurassic Park River Adventure.. SINCE WHEN???? I was in the back row. I loved it. I also got completely soaked on Popeye's. So you may have seen me walk into a bathroom with one outfit and come out with a new Universal outfit.
* Mythos was fantastic as usual. Had the Risotto of the Day which was Chili-seared scallops in a lobster cream sauce.
* I loved that they added Gwen Stefani - Sweet Escape to the loop when you're entering Citywalk. It got me in such a good mood.
I had a great time! Can't wait to go back.
