Having already borrowed points to the max, we stayed at HHI on cash from 6/25 to 7/1. Our dd's of 4,5, and 7 loved the beach, Big Dipper, and the organized activities. By signing the kids up for activities early in the week, the castmembers knew them all by name at the campfires. Some of the kids activities they took part in were Gyotaku (fish painting), flower pot painting, and the unbirthday party. We went to the Old Oyster Factory twice, and it was excellent.
The Low Country Boil at the Beachhouse was a bit pricey, but I'm still glad we did it. B'Lou had a chest full of instruments for the kids to form their own band while he played his fiddle.
We didn't eat at the Salty Dog Cafe. We got there at 5:10, and there was already a 90 minute wait. We were still able to get Salty Dog t-shirts.
The island beach combing is a great excursion. The kids really enjoyed collecting the shells at low tide. If you take this trip, there is no need to take a dolphin cruise. You will see dozens of dolphins on this trip.
We are looking forward to planning our next trip to HHI.
