Great stay at RPR

DWFanatic... Glad to see someone from CT as crazy about Disney as we are! Sure there is a bunch of us here!

We are also contemplating a trip to RPR next year for our boy (12) and his friend. Since we are big WDW resort fans, we are a little leery about going somewhere else (Feels like we are cheating...). However with that said, our kids have outgrown Disney (Not sure how that happened!) and into extreme coasters and Universal Studios would be perfect for them. So in your opinon, would you ever go back to WDW resorts?

I definitely would go back to Disney resorts again, but that being said, we always stay at a vacation home because we like to stay for 10+ days and we like our space. We do not stay 'deluxe' at Disney usually, but we have stayed at beach club and animal kingdom lodge for 1 day each, and I would say the rooms at RPR are like BC-the difference is the feel to the hotel. It's quiet, as the pool is not the main focus like at BC, the towers are spacious, and the water taxi so peaceful!!

Anyone know what the chances of getting a late check out would be? I lost my blue status, thanks

if the occupancy level is moderate to low, noon would be the standard late check out time.
(if the hotel is at a high rate of occupancy, ask for a manager at the front desk to get the noon check out.)

sometimes peeps have been able to get 1:00 due to the situation they present.

the latest i have ever been allowed was 2:00, but the room was not going to be used that day once i left.

Thanks Mac. My flight isn't until 630pm hopefully they will be nice lol.

i've had night flights and have stored my belongings with valet until i have left the building.

do the parks during the day.
if you want to shower after the park, use the hotel facitilty.

what i have done is to tie a cloth bag with a change of clothes to the handle of my suitcase that i have checked into valet.

when i return to the hotel/after my official check out that morning/afternoon, i show my claim ticket to valet and request they bring only my cloth bag that is outside of the suitcase.

this way i don't have to deal with that suitcase while i freshen up in the facility.

I really want to stay at RPR for our trip next year, but I am nervous about the room size. I just don't want it to be too tight. It will be me and my husband along with our 3 kids (12, 9,8). Please tell me others with 5 have stayed here with no problem!!!!!!
..OK..I can do that! We have invaded with our family of 5, and managed quite well, (both at RPR & HRH). We love both resorts and have stayed numerous times at each. Currently booked to check into HRH Christmas day, but we've been contemplating switching to RPR...It's just SO PEACEFUL!

What hotel facility showers do they have? Are they private or like community or?

they are for the hotel guests.
the pool rooms, right near the pool with the outside entrance.

change, shower, freshen up there.

shampoo, towels, soap, etc will be provided.

guests can also use the gym facility for showering.

I'm glad to here that you survived the room size with 5 people. It looks like RPR is where we will probably stay!!
