Just a heads up, my hubby and I just booked an 8 night stay in Anaheim for the first week of July(doing more than Disney) for $13 a night on hotwire! And it is a 3 star that does not charge for parking. Thought some of you thinking about going might want to check that out!

OMG thats amazing! What hotel did you get? You really got it for $13 a night? Did you mis-type that?

I wasn't sure if I was allowed to say. If this is against the rules, feel free to remove my post. It was the Disneyland North area and I got the Four Points by Sheraton in Fullerton. I've read mixed reviews on it, but for $13 a night, it can't be that bad. We recently stayed in a hole in Vegas for $60 a night that was a 1 1/2 star, so as long as it beats out that, I'll be happy :) I don't know if they messed up or not, but we have confirmation of 8 nights for $120 total with taxes. :)

I just checked out this rate on Hotwire and the hotel itself on line. The hotel is 4.09 miles from DL and should take about 12 mins. to get there. The rate is now $12.00 a night! The rooms look clean and spacious with a pool and pretty courtyard. Good choice:)

WOW that is a great rate. I have a feeling that someone messed up BIG TIME with that rate. But their loss is your gain.

Wow you are sooo lucky! When I saw this yesterday I raced over to hotwire and put in my dates...but the cheapest is $29. I think that might be it? Says Disney North and all it says is 'Hotel' with no amenities listed.
I dont see anything popping up for 12 or 13 a night now in July - I guess they fixed it!
Congrats on that amazing find!

I put in July 14 - 20 and found a $12 a night rate. It almost makes me want to change my reservation.

I am not getting it... can someone try putting in Jan 8-14 and see if you get it?? Thx.

Thanks. I put in July 14-20 and could not get the $12 rate - so I thought maybe it was showing better rates for US ip addresses or something silly like that! I am going to be checking daily though....OMG if I could get a hotel for 12 bucks a night I would be flying high! We could afford so many more things on this trip!

I found out a way to check hotel names on hotwire! Go to the "packages" tab on the top, and put in your reservation request dates (I just use "hotel + car" for this reference, and Orange County, CA for location, and John Wayne Airport). Then check the rates and hotel icons (they give you hotel names here), then go back the the "Hotel" tab and reference the ICONS and hotel rate (closest by $1 to $3). Especially note the hotel ICONS because these should be exact! You should ask "jennilouwho" what her icons were. You should be able to determine the exact hotel you will get.
:sunny: Don't give up. I just put in your dates and its there!
Could it be because you are in Canada?
One more thing...use your cusor and highlight from "hotel" all the way across to the right including where the icons should be. They will show up including a reference number (5586281457?) for this hotel.

I just got Jan. 6-12 for $13 a night. Unbelievable, 6 nights for $91 with all fees and taxes! I called the hotel directly and they offer a free shuttle a couple times in the am and retuns in the pm that doesn't stop at any other hotels. They also said that most of the rooms have fridges. So, not bad for $13 a night. Thanks, to the OP for the heads up.

I had to put in 2 adults!!!! OMG I am freaking out!!! I had $380 US budgeted for hotel and got it for $85!!! I HAVE $300 SPENDING MONEY!!!! OMG OMG OMG

Hi there!

It's 3 star, Disneyland north and there were 4 ammenities. The package thing didn't work out the way I thought it would, like someone mentioned. I thought that would work too, but based on that, I thought I was getting the Doubletree. Just make sure if you get this, that you have a car, because the shuttles usually end before the fireworks or anything go off. I'd call and check first, maybe this hotel is different. We'll have a car, so no big deal. Well worth the DL parking cost with this rate! I do wonder if they made a mistake....

No car, but for this rate we will figure it out. If we have to cab it a couple of times it will be no big deal. We arent the types to go back for a mid-day nap, so if we have to grab a cab we can. I guess I can call the hotel and request a pick up too - usually hotels will do that! I am thinking we might be able to take public transit too!
I am just so excited...I now have $300 for spending that I wouldn't have had!!

Unbelievable!
I put in for 14 days in July and it was under $178.00.
Too bad I won't be going then, what a bargain.
Wish they had those same rates for December.
You'll have to let us know how your stays were.
Very exciting for those of you able to get that rate.

Carrie

Wow.... that is exciting! Too bad our trip is only tentative at this time.... can't risk bidding as it is nonrefundable (correct??). Oh well... gonna stick with my cancellable reservations!...........P

I would seriously consider renting a car. With your savings you will still be ahead of the game. Cabs can be VERY expensive in Orange County.

Of course if the hotel has a shuttle and you are willing to work within the limitations that that imposses that would be even better on the pocketbook at least.
