Great October Stay At The Contempory

My husband and I just returned on Sunday from six days at the Contempory. We had not been to Disney in over 10 years and I read with much interest the threads concerning the Contempory. I had read some negative things about the resort, so we arrived on Oct. 28th a little apprehensive. We were pleasantly surprised from the beginning. We arrived at 6:00a.m. and our room was ready! We were assigned room 4730 on the 11th floor. We had a beautiful view of the Magic Kingdom and the Seven Seas Lagoon. Each night we watched the fireworks and the electric boat parade from our balcony.
The room was clean and the housekeeping was excellent the entire week. We did not see any "bugs" and the construction noise outside was not noticable in our room. The inside construction noise was minimal and Chef Mickey's noise was only heard when standing near the door. The pool was clean and the staff was very professional. The crowds that week were low and we had no problems with Disney transportation. All of my fears were forgotten. I hope that my wonderful vacation will bring comfort to future guests at the Contempory. I will definately stay there again on my next Disney vacation.

There is nothing better than the MK view from the tower, especially on a high floor. If you read my trip report you will read that my favorite things were eating breakfast on the balcony watching the world come to life and falling to sleep with a view of the castle!!

I was downstairs in 4628 this last week... did you notice the music from Chef Mickeys? That was my biggest complaint.

Glad you had a great time. I would love to be able to stay in a CR room that had a theme park view. One day maybe....

Glad to hear you enjoyed the CR. We stayed there in May with our dd and gdd (age 5). It was our first trip to the world. We were in the tower on the 9th floor in room 4548. The view was spectacular. The service was great, no bugs, and no noise.
