Great News--Thrifty rentacar, minivans and booster seats

Doing some comparison price shopping, i found that Thrifty had the best price on minivans by far. AND--they have 2008 Dodge/Chrysler caravans with the BUILT IN booster seats, perfect for those 3-6 year olds! and there are TWO (perfect for twins). The Sirius radio was a nice bonus (116 is the kids station). Was VERY pleased with the Caravan, the rate and Thrifty. We just got back and really enjoyed that minivan. I wish we had one at home

That's great to know about the built in carseats. No more lugging booster seats through the airport and having to check them.

Hertz will guarantee your requested booster/carseat. They are the only ones that I know of who will reserve carseats for kids. We usually go with the best deal, but the last vacation we took we didn't want to lug the boosters on the plane and hertz had them for us as reserved.

I joined Blue Chip (their club, it's free). Try code 9711 for 10% or AU11 for 5%. If you belong to Triple A, use code AAA for 5%.

The nice thing about the built-ins is there is no additional charge, because you aren't renting them--they are built in to the car!

I agree. As long as they give you the car you have requested. I've traveled and been "upgraded" to a Ford Expedition. It's not really an upgrade if you wanted a minivan with built-in-carseats.
