Just got back from a weekend at the Swan to visit the Food and Wine Festival. On our way back in after the Party for the Senses last night, we dropped in the bar area at Il Mulino at the Swan hotel and stumbled on the best musical duo. They had an adorable gal playing a baby grand (she looked like she could have been Lisa Loeb's twin) and a handsome guy on the guitar. The two of them were fantastic! It was such a pleasant surprise.
They played a variety of jazzy standards and current songs. They did a rendition of the song "Falling Slowly" from the movie "Once" that literally gave us goose bumps. Then they did this teriffic slowed down jazzy version of Beyonce's - All the Single Ladies. It was so creative and the two of them were just awesome together. I have no clue what their names are or what nights they play there...but it was a real treat.
