Great Movie Ride FP?

Has a FP really become necessary for the GMR??? We've always waited maybe 20 minutes tops, so the fact that it's a Tier 1 confuses me.

It's a Tier 1 thanks to its high capacity, lines can be longer now that there is a FP queue.

I doubt it's necessary, except maybe during the ultramost crowded times, ie Easter week, July 4th, Xmas. Epcot is like that too with tiering. They just need to make something look good, so they cram something into tier 1 that's no totally crappy but really isn't great either. I really can't stand the tiering. Just build better stuff at Epcot and DHS, and quit closing stuff. Don't get me wrong. I like FP+, but the tiering is antithetical to the whole idea in my mind.
