We (myself, my wife, my son (7), and my daughter (4)) had booked French Quarter for this Memorial Day, and ended up at the Yacht Club after doing the renovation shuffle. It was fantastic. We arrived Saturday around lunchtime and checked into our room. We kept going and going until we found our room, but were thrilled with the view when we finally arrived! It faced Epcot and we had a picture perfect view of Illuminations from our balcony. We had planned to go swimming, but it was storming so we grabbed a quick snack in the Crew's Cup. As soon as the storm was over we went swimming. After enjoying the great pool, we returned to the room, showered, changed and went to Magic Kingdom for dinner at the Liberty Tree. We exited just in time to watch Spectro Magic. We returned to the resort (watching Fantasy in the Sky) on the bus ride back. Sunday am we went to breakfast in the Yacht Club galley before spending the morning in the pool. Storm-along Bay really lives up to the hype. For lunch we went to the All Star Cafe at the WWoS (a family favorite). We split up in the afternoon, my son and I to Animal Kingdom to ride Primeval Whirl and Dinosaur, and my wife and daughter to the quiet pool. We we joined up again, we walked to Epcot for dinner at the Garden Grille (another family favorite). We returned to our room and the lovely view of Illuminations. Sunday morning we went to breakfast at the Galley again and then swam for about an hour before checking out. We then took the boat to MGM where we spent a couple of hours before returning for lunch at Beaches and Cream. We walked over to Epcot after lunch and enjoyed British Invasion, Offkilter, and Journey to Imagination before walking back to the Yacht Club and driving back home.

We had a great time.

Sounds like a great weekend. I thought about driving down Sunday but was worried about the crowds!? How crowded was it?

It was crowded, but not unbearable. MK was really crowded, but now that they are only doing Spectromagic one night a weekend, it is always crowded during that time. Animal Kingdom was very light. MGM and Epcot were a little crowded, but, truthfully, no more so than any summer weekend.

Hi there...

Glad you liked the YC :)

How was the breakfast at the Galley and your lunch at the Crew's cup? Would you recommend them?

Also - how was the bus transportation to the parks (DAK & MK)

>>^..^<<

Yacht Club Galley had a very nice breakfast buffet. It did not have the variety of the Cape May Cafe, but the service was exceptional. The Crew's Cup was ok, but the service was extremly slow. In their defense they were busy, but we waited more than 10 minutes for our order to be taken, and we were at the bar.

We drove to AK, so I can't attest to the bus service there, but the bus service to MK was VERY crowded due to stops at YC/BC/BW.
