Great Kids!

Friday night, I picked my DD up at the high school around 10:30 PM. She was working a school play. She hadn't had much to eat earlier, so I took her to Perkins. It just so happened that about 10 other kids from the play came into Perkins and they all wanted to sit together. I had no problem with that and told DD I'd just find another table. The kids insisted I sit with them. It was actually a lot of fun. At the end, I told the waiter that I would pick up the tab for the group. They're just high school kids that don't have a lot of money. It was no big deal. The tab was about $100. They were surprised and very nice.

On Saturday night, I went to see the play. It just happened to be my birthday. At intermission, I was totally surprised when the entire group of kids came out to sing Happy Birthday to me in front of the rest of the audience. They gave me a flower and a very sweet card. What a great gesture. I hope DD finds as nice a group of kids after we move to Florida.

Your daughter is beautiful. I am sure she will find great kids here in Florida. She and her friends were really sweet to do that.
High school kids can be the best kids. During the first fire drill this year I fell in the middle of a large group of them. Six boys formed a break and two others helped me to my feet and out of the building. Many others asked me if I was ok later. Kids like that are going to be great adults as well.

You hear so many bad things about teenagers, I just love it when you get a chance to say how great most are. We all have our moments and kids now days are under so much pressure. Much more than they were when I was a kid. I think they handle things really well!
