We just returned from a weeks stay at Beach Club and we rented an ECV for the first time, rather than using the ones in the parks. We rented from Apple and we couldn't have been happier. We got the Pride Victory because we knew we would be using it all day and wanted to make sure it would stay charged. Apple had it at the Beach Club at 8:00 am as we requested. You could tell it had been used before but was in great shape and fully charged, and only $175 for 7 days. We scooted all the way over to Hollywood studios for rope drop and stayed all day, including Fantasmic, walked (scooted) all the way back, went clear around Boardwalk and it was still on full charge. The next day we were at Epcot all day, rode back to Beach Club for the afternoon, back to Epcot for Illuminations and again came home with a full charge. The next day was Magic Kingdom. We disassembled it and took it in my PT Cruiser. It was a little awkward to get apart - seat was heavy and we didn't take the back wheels off which made it a little heavy to lift, but valet people were very helpful. We drove to TTC and I scooted up to the Monorail and over to Magic Kingdom. I didn't want to bother with the buses. It went well. The worse was the next day at Animal Kingdom when we had to disassemble it for the car at about 1:20 in the afternoon when it was about 98 degrees in the parking lot. We even forgot to charge it one night, so I took the charger just in case and it never went off full charge. It was such a godsend. We've stayed at Beach Club before and love the short walk to Epcot, but it was such a long walk in the heat in the afternoon. With the scooter, it was actually a nice drive. My son said it was the best vacation we'd had because I was in such a better mood because I knew I coulld keep up with him even in the heat. Thank you Apple Scooters. We will definitely use them again when we go back to Disney in January. Price can't be beat, either. It was so much easier to manuver also than those huge scooters in the park.:dance3::love:

Thank you for your post. I've been considering renting from Apple as well and from what I've read they sound really good. I've rented the park wheelchairs our last two trips but I'd really like to be a bit more independent next time. I'm going with Apple for sure now. :)

If you have occasions where you could use at scooter at home, you might consider buying one. After renting one for a week on vacation & a few times at home for the zoo or shopping, I bought the Pride Go-Go. Its very light weight & easy to take apart. It was only $800 so I figured a few rentals would pay for it. It made it a full day at WDW with no problem & it was very helpful at the airport. After about 3 years I did have to buy a new battery for it because it stopped holding a charge. I'd really like to get a 4 wheeled with a bigger battery for long trips & just use the 3 wheeled for shopping. I think the 4 wheeled will be a little better on uneven surfaces. It has been useful so many times, it's worth having your own instead of renting. Once I slipped on some water & hurt my foot, so I wasn't able to use my walker around the house for a few days so I was glad I had the scooter.
