I was thinking of going overnight during February vacation. Has anyone ever been? What did you think of it? Was it worth staying in the hotel?

It is nice and a lot of fun. We stayed for two nights when it first opened, and I think one night would have been enough. The water park area is very loud, and I was surprised that it didn't have a pool.

Have you checked availability for February vacation?

Are you guys talking about Great Wolf Lodge? Or is this something similar?

It is similar to Great Wolf Lodge, but it is smaller, I think. It is located in Lake George, NY.

I am bummed because i thought it had a pool. Maybe the hotel portion had a pool but the water park does not:confused3

Did you look at the website? I don't remember seeing a pool and I remember commenting that I would have liked there to be one. The lazy river was nice, though, and there is a very shallow "pool" area for little ones to play in.

There is also a separate outdoor water park connected to Six Flags which I have not been to. There is probably a pool there.

I looked at the website, but i just thought there was one. But I was confused with the one in Connecticut. I think i am going to pass on this one... :sad1:

We went this past summer. It was nice. They let us in the water park before our check out time and let us stay pretty much all day the next day, although we had to check out of the room. So, while it was expensive, we got our fill of the water park. The place is nice. I don't think they have a separate pool, but the lazy river is pleasant.

The restaurants were mediocre. We didn't want to have to go offsite to find something better (there are tons of restaurants in Lake George).

We went to the Great Escape Lodge about a year and a half ago. Two days after getting home, we were all violently ill. My DH called the hotel and asked if others had gotten so very sick and were told that others had reported being ill after the weekend we stayed. They apologized for any inconvenience and then hung up. We will never, ever stay there again.
