I just got off the phone with DL reservations. They are offering some great rates in January for Annual Passholders. At the Disneyland Hotel $109 Fri/Sat and $89 Sun-Thurs.

However, even if you don't have an annual pass, Expedia is offering great discounts too. $129 at DLH and $119 at PP for select nights. Just play around with the dates.

It figures. We have DVC points that expire the end of Feb and decided to go during Jan. We are 'paying' 28 points each night! Now I feel like I am getting ripped off though I don't have a choice at this time.............

At least we will get to go as it is members month for DVD members.

Anyone heading to the parks Jan 27 - 29?

Also the Grand Californian is $169 for some dates in Jan....booked on Disney website after I researched the prices on Expedia. :cool1:

I just booked us for 1 night at the GC for Monday the 2nd through Expedia for $169!
I have always wanted to stay there and I didn't get any good X-mas gifts so I'm going!
Hope it doesn't rain too much :umbrella:
My two older kids passes are blocked for Monday, but they can hang out at DTD if younger DD and I go into the parks. DH has to work :guilty:

I have a question about the expedia rates. I have never used any online travel company except for the actual hotel website. I currently have an AP rate at the GC for $179 on Thursday (1/12/06) and $199 on Friday (1/12/06) plus taxes and resort fees. I see that I can book the same room for $169 through Expedia for both nights. So my question is. . . Is there a 'catch' or am I paying the same taxes and resort fee no matter what the room rate is? So I would be better off cancelling my current AP rate and booking through Expedia? TIA! :flower:

Im goin Jan 17th-24th stayin at DLH and im usin DVC points.

Happy new Year everyone, Happy Birthday to me :)

If you go to the disney official website and click on rates for Grand Californian for your dates...you will see a internet rate for $169 a night for your nights and there is also the Disneyland hotel for $149. I would rather book with Disney than expedia...also expedia charges a fee. Hope this helps :sunny:

Princessdaisy - Would you mind posting a link for me. When I go to the Disney website and put in my dates of stay, it only give me a rate that is higher than what I have already booked. ThankS!!!

I finally figured it out  and was able to book at the $169 rate ( even though I had to end up calling the hotel to get the rate). Thanks to everyone for posting these rates!! :flower:

Does anyone know how soon in advacned you should book DL? DH and I have been toying with the idea of going the 1st week in May 2006, but are mostly concentrating on our WDW trip this week for now.

However if we could get good airfare and decent hotel rates for May I would love to go to DL and SCAL for the 1st time. Being a newbie I am a little nevous about it. :flower:
