We wandered into Fultons at Downtown Disney earlier this week, to learn that once again Fultons and Portobello (and perhaps Wolfgang Pucks, but we didn't go there) were offering 30% off the menu prices for lunch and 20% for dinner! And, since they offer their dinner menu for lunch on request, we feasted twice this past week on the wonderful shellfish and seafood as only Fultons can prepare it. If you're in town this month, enjoy lunch until 3:30 with 30 % off. We had the "tower" of stone crab, king crab, shrimp, tuna and scallops twice, and with the way they prepare and present it, it can't be beat!

We LOVE Fultons! Does anyone know how long this discount will be in effect?

I've not used my DVC membership for a discount at any of these restaurants... do you have to show your DVC cartd to get it? I'll be sure to bring it along.
also would like to know how long this might be offered...we're not going until may : (

Hey??? Where's a smiley with a big FORK?! :rotfl2:

It's a 30% discount in slow seasons. We really enjoy eating at Fultons, but have never had the Tower that you speak of. We'll have to try that sometime!

This is a great discount.

DVC members should be aware that many restaurants offer discounts that are not mentioned in our Portable Perks.

The discount listed in Perks for Fultons is 20% for lunch and 10% for dinner so this is a great increase.

Another to be aware of the 10% discount at Earl of Sandwich (it is not listed in Perks) - but those with a AAA membership can get 15% off at Earl.

It does not hurt to pull out anything you have with you when paying for things at Disney - we now ask of there are any discounts for DVC, AAA, AP and Disney VISA when making a purchase. It never hurts to ask and it might save a few $$$.

Anyone, know how long this discount is going on for??

Our waiter told it that the 30% lunch was good through January, but we had the same deal last February when we were there. So, as someone else said, it's probably offered during the slower months.

Even at 20% during "normal" times, it's still a good deal!

Wow I never knew about Earl of Sandwich DVC discount....we like that place especiallly when we stay at SSR. Is that all the time or seasonal too? Thanks for the info.
We have gotten that 30% discount at Fultons too in the past (both Oct and Feb March)but it is never in the perks booklet just hear about it on here from someone who has gotten it. Thanks for posting that news, hope it is still in effect when we get there March 1....also Fultons has a reward card program that you can sign up for and after you spend so much, maybe like $250 you get a $25 credit on your card... I can't find the info right now but my last receipt says I have a $25 credit... it is a Levy's chain card I think it is called Preferred . If you got to Fultons alot ask about it, you might be able to sign up online....I think one of the servers told us about it. :goodvibes :goodvibes

The DVC discount at Earl of Sandwich is good all the time. We didn't know about it until last year when one of their employees told us about it. Since they're so inexpensive anyway, it's not much of a discount, but every little bit helps. :)

Just a heads up that Wolfgang Puck would not let me use my $25 Levy Rewards if I was using any discounts. So, in order to use it I had to forego the 20% TIW discount. I was not too happy about that.

After reading the Levy site that is the deal. No other discounts allowed. I don't know if Portabello's or Fulton's follows the same procedures. Discounts at Wolfgang seem to be a bit of torture to get.

OP. Thanks for the heads up on the DVC discounts. I will ask about them next week.

Ok thanks for that info about not using with other discounts....I just got card last year and in Oct got first 25 credit so did not use it yet....:goodvibes

.

I understand the frustration but it's not uncommon. Even Disney won't let you double dip the discounts. Would be nice though, wouldn't it?

FWIW, we've never had an issue getting our discounts anywhere. I am one of those that whip out every card I have & ask the server what is the best one to use for exactly the reasons mentioned here. You never know if you miss the memo on an increased promo.

We dined at Fulton's for DH birthday last June, by far the best food and server we have had in a long time. I wish I had the pictures on this computer to see DS 14 digging into his Filet. At the end he was offered a piece of chocolate cake and declined - he needed to finish his twice baked potato - it was that good. LOL Also received 20% off dinner. We just threw that back at the server she was that good.

Pull out all your cards when you pay for anything!!! We were buying a watch in the CR for DS, we asked if there were any discounts the CM laughed - we don't get asked that question a lot, bur it just so happens if you use a VISA you can get 20% off. Lucky me I had a VISA card - my debit card - so I handed it over.

I think that most discounts are one or the other, you can't double dip. The only place I can think of is BJ's. LOL They will allow you to use their coupons and manufacturers coupons on the same item. You can make out like a bandit there. If you have a $1 off one, and there are 3 in the package - you can use 3 $1 coupons for it. I remember I rung up $175 worth of items and ended up paying $35 - my best shopping trip ever. LOL

I was new to Levy Rewards at the time and the only reason I even attempted to "double dip" so to speak was that my reward was issued in a gift card. I honestly thought they would treat it like a gift card not like a "discount". Live and learn. :)

I would think if it was a gift card it is like cash....but my $25 just showed up as a reward on the receipt...

We have had this discussion many times with Fulton's and Portobello's so being a Chicago area resident I called the Levy Corporate office and talked to the person who manages the program and handles any mistakes on the Levy preferred card.

I strongly suggest that everyone sign up for the preferred card. The benefits are great.

The computers at the restaurants are programed to allow one type of discount however this can be overridden by the manager on duty...Fulton's usuallly processed my bill, adds my points to my preferred card, deducts the DVC discount and then deducts any points/$ available to me on my preferred card before presenting me with a revised bill.

Depending on the current promotions DVC is sometimes a better discount than TIW at Levy Restaurants.

This is great info. I am a Levy Preferred member. My server at Wolfgang Puck told me that the Manager would not allow the two discounts. So, I am guessing that you are at the mercy of the manager on duty at the time of your visit.

I will try again next week to use both my TIW or DVC discount and to use the $25 reward card that I have. We'll see what happens.
