Just wanted to post my happiness. Southwest prices finally came out for our january trip and 
- I was shocked about $1200 for the three of us! so I was looking around and saw that us air was only about $876. my parents have had a us air card for years and frequent flier miles like crazy but NEVER want to fly again except for an emergency. I emailed them (to not make them feel on the spot) to see if they wanted to sell some of their points to us bc I would rather pay them than us air. I also told them we would refuse them if they offered them for free, as that was not an option. Well, they refused to take more than $100 plus fees so we are only paying $130! 
Both dh and I tried to offer more but they are refusing. So, they don't know it, but we are going to beach together in a couple of weeks, and we are paying for a couple of their meals! It was such a shocking and sweet thing to do.
