Great ATA Frequent Flyer Benefits

I just redeemed my first travel award from ATA, and I was amazed...no blackout dates! I was able to book Thanksgiving weekend, leaving Weds. and returning Sun. They offer a free companion ticket for every three trips. The Thanksgiving fare was around $350, so it was a huge help to get one of the tickets free. The only annoyance is that you have to call a certain number during certain weekday business hours, and the time on hold is at least 15 minutes. I had to call back, and after 45 minutes I finally hung up! But once you get through to them, it's painless. If the fare is cheaper on the web, you can book your original ticket online at the cheaper rate and then call in to add the companion ticket.
Considering that we fly to Orlando almost every month, this program is great for hubby & I!
