Great American Scrapbook Convention - Arlington, TX

I just saw a message that registration for this year's GASC in Arlington will start online on April 13 at 12:01 a.m. I had such a fun time with Janette, Denise, Melissa and Jacque last year that I hoped some of us could hook up again for one or more crops or maybe some classes and shopping!

The dates are June 12-15. I'm trying to plan how much of the convention I want to attend. I'd love to hear if any of you will be there and when!

Jacque and I will be there for at least part of the convention. We have our hotel reservations, but may decide to come back early this year. Between Father's Day and my son leaving for Philmont that weekend, we thought we might need to head home sooner than usual. We're thinking of going down Thursday morning and coming home Friday night or Saturday morning.

Let's do plan to meet at one of the crops or something. Classes might be harder, since we might not all get in the class. Jacque and I enrolled together last year via computer and she got one class that I didn't. Guess she filled it up. She also got the early enrollment goodie bag and I didn't. I'm just the underdog I guess! LOL!

When is everyone else planning to be there? I know that Janette was intending to go again. We talked about it at the Oklahoma DIS Meet in February.

I'm not going to make it this year. I hate to miss it but we're leaving Jun 12th for WDW. I quess if there is something during the day on Wednesday I could try to squeeze it in.

I'll have to go check the schedule.

I'm now registered for the Thursday night crop, Scout Memories (Fri. 8:00), Supercalascapalicious (Fri. 9:30), Your Creative spirit (Sat. 9:30), and The Magic of Mixed Media 2 (Sat. 3:30).

We obviously decided not to go home early! We still are not planning to crop at Friday night's crop party, although we may crop in our hotel that night. What is everyone else planning to take? When are you planning to be there? We hope to do make and takes on Thursday afternoon. That seems to be the slowest day and the lines are shorter.

Who is coming? Let's plan to get together.

Well, I'm working on it. I'm hoping to get a friend of mine to join me so I don't have to do the drive alone and can split the cost of the hotel with her. If she says yes, then I'll be there. If she says no, then I go to Plan B. No idea what Plan B is yet, but I'll come up with something. LOL! It looks like it would be loads of fun! I've never been to a SB convention before.

It looks like we are in the Supercalascrapalicious class (what a name!) together and I signed up for the Thursday night crop too! BUT, I signed up for the Punch Your Art Out (I love those books!) that goes until 7:30 on Thursday night, so I'll miss the first part of that crop.
