I am lactose intolerant, and also cannot eat poultry, beef, raw veggies, and raw fruit.
I had our reservations labeled "dairy allergy" and just picked thing I knew I could eat on menus.
We stayed at POFQ and the chefs were amazing there. They have a delicious veggie sandwich they made for me dairy free. They also made me pasta with sauce, and I had Mickey waffles for breakfast. I could have had other things but I don't eat eggs and we only ate breakfast in the food court twice. The chefs were wonderful.
I had no counter service meals this trip because I have found it to be very difficult to get a vegetarian dairy free meal unless I opted for a veggie burger. I brought lunch with me each day.
I ate at Chef Mickeys and the chef walked the line with me and also made me Mickey waffles. The batter is the same everywhere and is gluten free/egg free/dairy free. I thought they were good but my family thought they tasted different. I think if you're used to eating allergy alternatives, you don't notice the difference.
We also had lunch at the San Angel Inn and the chef was fabulous. He let me build my own meal off items I liked on the menu and made me special veggies as a side dish (cooked) which were fabulous. I was so happy with the service here.
Dinner at Boma was excellent. There are so many veggie choices and the majority of them are dairy free (and cooked!). I had a little salmon also. But the veggie choices are great. I got divvies cookies and tofutti for dessert.
Dinner at Kona the chef was again amazing. I wanted the sushi plate for 2 appetizer (to share with DH) and he went over to the sushi station to ensure they could make it for me dairy free. They modified several of the rolls and the chef watched them make it. He also made me an excellent stir fry which is on the menu.
I had a great experience this trip. I find counter service anywhere except Epcot overwhelming so I skip it. I did have sushi in Japan at their counter service that was good.
