My DH and I finally decided on the Poly (have been going back and forth between this and CR) for our Dec 19 - 23 trip, or so we thought. I sent my request to Merrie at DU today and guess what, no availability at Poly for garden view these dates - she could offer me a lagoon view AAA rate - 365.00 per night with tax. When I looked up AAA rates over the weekend I didn't see any listed for any of the Disney resorts for December so was glad there were some available after all.
GF was our overall first choice but we didn't want to spend the extra money. So, I told Merrie that if she can get me GF with AAA rates equal or less than the Poly lagoon rate, I'd go for it. Guess what, she made it happen
. I was able to get a standard room for about 315.00 per night with tax - cheaper than the Poly lagoon and really our first choice - it's our 15th anniversary celebration.
Now I'll just keep my eyes out for AP rates though if I they are available but none for the GF, I don't see myself switching to another resort - my heart is now set on the GF.
