Does anyone know what time this excursion usually occurs? Like is it early morning? Mid morning? Just curious. Does it vary by sailing?

Also, for the brave, is this something you could walk to yourself off the ship and do, without purchasing it as an excursion? We would like to stick to an excursion through Disney but just curious.

The Graycliff is fairly close to the port, so you would have no trouble walking there yourself (FYI: the road there is pretty steep if you have mobility concerns).

My DH and I did a non-Disney walking rum tour of Nassau one cruise, and the Graycliff was one of the stops. At no point did we feel unsafe in Nassau with our small tour group.

As I recall the tour was scheduled to meet at 11:15AM on the Dream and was scheduled to run about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. We've done this tour twice now and that was the only time I remember it being scheduled. Enjoy.

Is Graycliff a rum distillery and chocolate factory? We were looking at that tour but wanted to take the kids (7, 5, 4 yo). Would they enjoy it?

It a chocolate factory didn’t see any rum.

They have a restaurant there and small store that sells chocolates . We walked there and bought chocolate but didn’t do the tour. Followed the signs and found the restaurant first store was next door where the tours leaves. Didn’t take long to walk there.

It’s a hotel. Nassau has a distillery but it isn’t at Graycliff.

I don't remember the exact time of this excursion when we did it. I do know that I searched and searched for a way to do it without having to pay DCL prices and (at least at the time I did it) there was no possible way to do it on your own. They do offer times that you could do it on your own if you were just staying in Nassau, but the days and times were all for times that DCL ships were not in port.
