Gray hair....

I am about 1/2 white. I color, every 4 weeks. I will not be gray!
I had my stylist do a LOT of highlights a couple of colors ago. I thought maybe the gray/white would not be as noticeable. And it wasn't.... BUT it did not look like 'me'.
I had her dye it back to my dark color the very next time.
I started with color back in my late 20s. Have never stopped :thumbsup2

I have NEVER colored my hair and have NO idea what I should do. I have no desire to color my entire head, but no idea what to do/how to go about it. Any ideas!?!?!

Yes! I tried the salon but it was just too expensive, so I started using L'Oreal Excellence and matched my hair color (light brown). You won't have any trouble matching your dark brown hair color, there are several choices. You don't have to color your whole head, just follow the instructions for 'touch up'. I think you will love the results. It only takes 45 minutes every 4-8 weeks, and you can often find it on sale for $6 a box.
The salon may try to talk you out of doing it yourself (for obvious reasons) but if you give it a try you may see just how easy it is. Good Luck whatever you decide!

Nothing is wrong with gray hair but at 37 I am not ready for it. I just let my hair grow so it's long enough to pull back and when I do so, it looks like crap because it's so light above my ears.

I also have gray at the temples and I agree, it looks crappy. If I had a nice salt and pepper look that might be different....... but the gray temples just makes me look "old" and I'm only 42. OP- My hair is lighter than yours so I go blonder and the gray blends.

I have been highlighting my hair for years and just started coloring it 2 years ago. The highlights were washing my haircolor out and I needed a diferent color.

Not sure if I have any gray or not since I color myhair anyhow. I go to the salon every 5 weeks for a cut, color and highlight. Its expensive but as the commercial says I'm worth it.

If my hair was gray I would color it in a heartbeat. Some aspects of aging I take gracefully but gray hair isn't one of them.

You can match your natural color to just conceal the grays. I color mine and will continue to, well maybe forever. As we age, the color should get softer and a bit lighter, but I intend to continue coloring.

Add me to the camp that will not color. Ever. When I think of what I can do with that time and money it makes it a very easy decision.

BTW I am almost 42 and have seen increasing gray for about 5 years or so. I earned every one of them, and will wear them proudly! :thumbsup2
