Gratuity for grocery delivery

DH and I are going to use wegoshop.com for an upcoming short trip in July. We never had groceries delivered before as we have usually gone out and purchased them ourselves. We will most likely only have about $50.00 worth of groceries. I am hoping you fellow DVC members can give some ideas of what sort of tip I should give or what others have given or done to determine the gratuity amount. Secondly with the few amount of groceries we are getting would I just be plain better off getting them from DVC and having them delivered? Would the cost basically be the same or cheaper either way? Thanks for any input on this.

I'd like to know too...we were thinking of doing garden grocer as it seems cheaper with the $12 delivery and I like being able to see the prices of the food I'm buying but it looks like we could just order from DVC for $5...although the selection is not as good....what have people done? Is fruit better with the DVC or garden grocer or wegoshop??

We used wegoshop.com in September 2006 and had the groceries delivered to VWL while we were at MK. The front desk paid Marge and charged it to our room. I don't have the paperwork in front of me, but I think the gratuity was around 15% and was added on the bill. Our order was quite large (around $350) as we had 16 people in two 2-bedroom villas. For a smaller order that you're there to receive, I'm not sure what would be appropriate.

BTW, we were happy with the service. Marge even called me from the grocery store to clarify something we had put on the order.

In the past, I've always tipped Marge about 10-15% depending on the circumstances...
