Is there anyway to get from before the grapevine to 101?

South trying to get to the bay area.

South of the grapevine, You can take the 126 at Castaic Junction all the way to the 101 or you can take 118 (it becomes 23) to the 101.

If you are farther up - like nearer to Fraiser Park, you can the 138 to the 14 to 58 in Mojave and then on to Bakersfield. Then go a bit south to pick up the 5 again.

Thanks this is actually for my BFF. I don't think she has service where she is stuck. It's on and off and I haven't heard back in a while. Thanks for your help!

She's in a bad place. She's going to have to either ride it out to Fraiser Park or turn around and go back south to Castaic Junction.

That's an area where there really are no turn-arounds, either, as the north and southbound freeway is in two completely separate roads. Good luck to her!!!!
