Grandmother killed on way to Disneyland

The story is in today's SD Union-Tribune. A family of 5 was traveling to 805 when it was struck by another vehicle. The car dangled from atop the freeway overpass. The rescue teams did a wonderful job. Sadly, one lady died.

I travel this route all the time when I go to Disneyland from my home. And in the same vehicle, a Toyota Rav4.

In any event, how very sad.

Oh, how awful. From looking at those pictures, it's unbelievable that anyone survived.

Maybe they've changed the article, but I don't see any mention of a grandmother dying or them being on their way to Disneyland. It does say that one adult suffered major injuries...

The adult who perished was the grandmother of the family. It was on our local news.

How sad. That route always scares me. Just an awful tragedy. Amazing that they were able to reuse those they did.
