I'm taking a son and his family to Disneyland in January. It will be the first trip for all three of his kids. I have little lunchboxes full of goodies to give them on the train day, but I also plan on giving them each a preparing for Disney gift at Christmas. I already have a tshirt for each and a costume for the little girl. (kids are boys: 8 and 6 and girl 18 months). I also thought I could find the boys autograph books and little photo albums and maybe give each of them a disposable camera. Any other ideas??

For the older two - trading pins? My 10 and 12 yo boys LOVE this!!! They started when they were 7 and 9 and they have quite the collection now. (Actually, my now-10 yo had his stolen on our last trip to Disney. He was absolutely sobbing!!! A CM saw him and asked what was wrong and he told her. She took him to the nearest store and told him to pick his favorite starter trading pin set. He did. I got out my credit card. She told him that it was HIS!!! FREE!!! So, I LOVE Disney. And, I love trading pins. And, I love that CM!!!)

Another thing my kids always want are the spinning light up toys for after dark. You know the ones - they sell them in the dollar section at Target.

Have fun grandma!!!! sounds like a fun time!!!

ooooh - how FUN!!!!

definately some glow sticks and light up toys for at night; how about some disney dollars? maybe a little stuffed pooh bear for your little sweetie? if you get lanyards and pins for the boys, for your little one you could get her a lanyard with a few little toys attached to it(at the walmart outside of disney they had pooh characters on keychains that were like the little characters that they can play with - our neice LOVED it and she had a necklace too - like her brothers and sister)!

good ideas :) keep em coming

We went to Disneyland in January with Grandma and the 3 kids one year! I think you'll have a great time. The crowds were so light. . .it was great! I don't have much to add. Before we left, I bought my kids the light spinners, matching Disney t-shirts, the older 2 autograph books, and the youngest a frilly princess wand (which she proceeded to want to whack everyone in the head with! She was 2) and I gave them each Disney dollars to spend in the park. We don't spend much on souvenirs and my kids have come to like the really unique things. My oldest bought a CM name tag, my son wanted the Autotopia drivers license and we bought my youngest the golden Mickey ears (in my avi). They LOVE doing the pressed pennies. So bring some change for those. My kiddos were mostly interested in the rides and snacks. . . They wanted Mickey Bars, Dole Whips, Churros and something from the candy store (the big marshmallow things) every night on the way out. There so much to see and do and EAT. . .they didn't really miss a bunch of souvenirs. HTH

Oh yeah, I printed out coloring sheets for them to color and a journal for my oldest. I don't remember now what sight those were from. But they were nice to have.

Ohh...my DH does the pressed penny thing (and frankly drives me nuts with it...) so, I can get each of them a pressed penny book. I'm going to Disneyland next month for Destination D so can get some real Disney items there :)..also going to Vegas in Oct and plan to hit the outlet. Great ideas.:)
