Has any one stayed in one yet? I am anixous to hear your thoughts. I am especially interested in the dining area and how many can be seated at one time. Also the kitchen looks bigger than the one in SSR. We are going on July 8th.

I am seriously beginning to think we will be the first to stay in a GV!! How cool. Maybe we'll be able to check in early ;)

I just thought I'd try this one more time. :confused3 Has any one stayed at a GV in Kidani yet? Any thoughts? TIA.

While not Kadani, I have stayed at the GV at Jambo House and in short, it was awesome.

The dining room table can easily seat pretty much up to 12 easily. I will only assume that those at Kadani will be similar. After all, it would be silly not to be able to have a dining room that would not accommodate the full capacity of the villa.

Granted, the GV at Jambo House is about 100 sq ft bigger than Kadani but you will not be hurting for room. It was more like being in a luxury condo built for a long term stay than a weeks vacation.

You will not be disappointed. :)

Please take lots of photos and post them for all of us here!!!!

But I would love to see some photos also because we are scheduled to stay in one in one this December with our children and grand-children. Can't wait.

We stayed in one the first week of June. I would post the pictures for you but I do not want a photobucket account, which isn't as private as I would like, and I am not sure how else you would do so. The DR table was round and very sturdy. It sat 6 comfortably but you could squeeze 8 + a high chair in when needed. There were also 4 bar stools at the kitchen bar right next to the table for four more people to sit. We cooked all of our meals there, didn't eat out even once, and enjoyed how the kitchen was open to the main living area and DR. The big screen TV was very visible from both the Kitchen and DR. And they had surround sound that was very cool. I couldn't help wondering how our neighbors did not hear it! We had nine people staying there and the fourth full bath very rarely got used. Not to frighten or disgust anyone but we did run into a large cockroach in that fourth bath. We only saw the one and only that one time in our six night stay. They don't bother me too much as we live in Florida and run into them quite a bit. Some of the biggest ones I have ever seen have been in movie theatre parking lots. They must like the popcorn. popcorn::

I would be happy to try and answer any questions you may have. We really enjoyed our stay although I did find the bedrooms to be quite dark. I loved the extras this GV had but I prefer the BC at VB or the OKW GV with the lighter color scheme. I haven't had the privelege of staying in a BWV GV. This was our last big vacation for a long time so we may never get to see the BWV one.

friskykitten,

Thanks so much. We will have 12 of us staying but I figure there will be enough room for us all.

We are planning a dinner for 15, if AKL were to give us a large table to seat us all, would there be room in the living room area? It's a 25th wedding anniversary party and we'd prefer to dine together at one table. We'll survive if we can't. But is would be nice.

How was the view from the balcony. Would we be able to have cocktail hour out there?

Also, the washer and dryer, are they side by side or up and down?

We are getting CLOSE and I CAN'T wait!!!!!!!!!

The washer/dryer is the stackable unit. The tubs were quite large enough for a normal to larger size load. The ironic thing with us is that we washed our towels (we ran out) just hours before housekeeping came to offer new, clean ones. It was housed in a single door closet under the stairs, a tight fit, and the lighting was not as desireable as I would have hoped. Maybe I am just getting old and can't see as well as I used to.

The view from the balcony was quite nice. We were on the fourth and fifth floors and had balconies on both. One out of each bedroom on the second floor (seperate balconies, not connected) and one long one (three balcony doors + long) on the main floor. The main floor balcony had access from sliders from the dining room, living room and the master bedroom. Although it was comfortable for several people I am really not sure how well it would do for a cocktail party. I believe it had three to four chairs and one small table. The balcony was wide enough for someone to stand at the rail and still have someone get by them without too much difficulty, depending on their size. Plus remember to be careful on that balcony as they have cameras watching them to protect the animals. If anyone has had too many cocktails you would hope they wouldn't accidentally drop anything. My DD, age 1, bounced a tennis ball off of ours so we alerted the staff immediately. They were not concerned about it (it fell outside of the animal area) and only wanted to know if we needed someone to retrieve it for us. Still, I was nervous everytime one of my children went out there. As I have seen posted elsewhere the animals seem to be on a rotation type of schedule. We saw Ostriches most of the day. My DH and some of the kids actually saw one of them lay an egg on the savannah. The handlers were out there pretty quickly to pick it up. We also had almost daily afternoon-early evening sightings of giraffe and Waterbucks. Most of the animals at night were Waterbucks. A few Zebra but mostley those were near the lobby.

I am not sure how to answer your dinner question as I am not sure what you mean about AKL giving you a large table to seat all. Would they do that? :confused3 The table they provide is very sturdy/heavy and I can't imagine them moving it or changing the table out. But then again, Disney is a magical place and so anything could be possible, right? The living room is seperated by a couch and what may be a support post. We didn't move the couch but I don't know of any reason that it isn't movable to provide more room. If you would like I might be able to e-mail you some of the pics we have.

Haven't been there but I've seen some pictures. They are 2 floor units a Kidani as opposed to the 1 floor units at Jambo

friskykitten,

Another question ... what color are the plates/dishes? I need to coordinate!! :goodvibes

Brown, solid color I think. Those pictures are on their way to your e-mail. It is a large file so I hope you will be able to open it. Just ignore my family when you encounter them in some of the pics.

Great pictures! Wow an TV in the master bath? That's luxury!! 7 days
