Does anyone know what the cash price would be for the Grand Villa Theme Park View at BLT if you wanted to add 1 or 2 nights to your stay that you didn't have enough points for?

A lot more than it would be to pay for a points transfer or rental from another owner, if one is even available for cash at all.

It depends on the time of year but usually over $2000 per night for low season (January) and over $3000 per night over Christmas week.

I'm fairly sure they don't release the GVs for cash bookings save a rare day or two inside 60 days.

We once got comped the cash value of one night for a very rough first day in a BLT. It was $1,800 for a day during MLK week.

Interesting. I was thinking that it would be close to 5k per night after tax for a theme park facing view without the DVC cash discount. I think we, DVC'ers get between 25-30% discount on cash reservations. So, I was expecting something $3400/nt. (5000/1.125tax = 4444.44 * .75= 3,333.33 = approx. $20) Does that logic make sense to anyone, but me? I called MS they didn't have an answer atm. That said, for $3-4 premium per point I don't think it's worth trying to find someone to rent 320-350 points from, or dealing with a point transfer.

I checked the rental chart that is provided by DVC in the DVC Quick Reference Guide, sign in is: USER - Welcome & Password is Home. They show the rental rate for a BLT GV for early October as $2303 for Lake view and $2567 for Theme Park view. That season didn't differentiate the price for the weekend.

However, after looking up the rental price, I cannot say I have ever seen a BLT GV being available to rent on CRO.

That's where it is probably worth just renting the points. You save money, and can be all but assured of getting the rooms.
At $17 a point during that time of year, it would go for LV: $1500 during the week, $1768 weekend. TPV: $1800 weekday, $2125 weekend. These rentals are also tax free, vs. what you would pay on CRO.
