Grand Legacy or Homewood Suites Convention Centre

We are a week away from our trip to Disneyland and were all set to stay at the Grand Legacy, but I have found that we can stay at Homewood suites across from the convention centre in a Queen suite for the same cost. I know it is further away, (and that the Toy Story parking lot is next store), but it seems like a nicer hotel with a few better amenities.

For those who have stayed at the hotels which would choose? We are leaning towards the Homewood suites.

[To Disneyland and Beyond]

I think it depends on whether or not the walkability is a factor. We stayed a week at the Grand Legacy and loved it for the quick trip back to the room. We also loved our room - which was a 2 room suite in the new tower. Our kids also loved the pool which is better than many along Harbor. They also have a nice rooftop restaurant where you can watch fireworks and a pizza place and ice cream shop attached. However, if you are staying in the park all day the convenience of the short walk may not matter. I have not stayed at the Homewood suites. Have fun!

When comparing these two hotels, I agree with "To Disneyland and Beyond" that walkability is the main factor Grand Legacy has in its favour. I haven't stayed at the Grand Legacy since it got renamed from Ramada Maingate, and it is certainly a nice hotel (especially since their renovations are now completed), but I think the Homewood is the clear winner. We stayed at the Homewood for two days in August, and while there made a five day reservation during the first week of January/2017 for our Christmas trip.

Homewood is currently ranked #1 on TRIPADVISOR out of the 116 Anaheim hotels, so my opinion is certainly widely shared by other visitors to Disneyland.
