This was our last breakfast on our last day. The GG's are only offered certain days of the week and they fill quickly. You must have a minimum of 8 people in order to book a Grand Gathering. These babies can still be booked 180 days out too! I'll tell you now, the food is not as good as most other breakfast places you eat at. It's pre plated and all you can eat. Just don't expect Tusker House or Chef Mickey's because it's not like that! When you arrive at the podium (you need to be there a little before 9am. That's when it starts) you check in and get seated. The eralier you arrive the better seats you get. Keep this in mind!
Once you're seated you'll see a basket full of pastries on the table. I don't eat this kind of stuff so I don't know if they were good or not. They looked good.
You will have an army of servers that get your food out pretty fast. It comes like this but you can order as much as you want.
About this same time your host, Tony, will begin making the rounds. He's a playful fella. Here you see him playing with my moms hair.
I think he was the one who gave us our Grand Gathering pins too. It's been a few months now so I don't remember. The pins are really cute though. Check 'em out.
While you eat they do a little show up front...
The characters include Daisy...
Minnie...my dad wanted to kick my butt here. LOL
Donald...
Goofy...
And the main man himself Mickey Mouse!
Here he tries to teach the baby how to fly....
After the meal while everyone's waiting to meet Mickey the other characters dance with the kids. This takes place around the beautiful Lady and the Tramp fountain.
Each family gets their own turn with Mickey and he hangs with them for a while. There is a photopass person there too to capture it all. You also get a special VIP seat for Mickey's Philaharmagic. We didn't do this since we'd seen it the day before.
I don't know the cost if this meal. We used one table service for it. It's the only GG that takes 1 TS credit. The others take 2 each.
Don't go here expecting the best meal ever. This is all about the "party". We had a great time and I have another one planned with friends in August. Overall it was a fun experience and yes, I do think it's worth the one table service. If you have any questions feel free to ask and if any of my readers have done the Safari or Epcot GG's please share your pics and opinions. I;d really appreciate it.
Here are some more pictures of Tony's too...
