Has anyone been part of a Grand Gathering? I have a few questions I need answered.........TIA

1. Do I make ADR's through regular number or Grand Gathering Number?
2. Do I need every partys (3 families, 9 people) reservation number, or do I book everything under the Grand Gathering Number?
3. Can we include persons not staying at WDW with us but will be at the parks and eating with us even if they are not part of any of our reservations?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

We are also a party of 9, but all unrelated. I got my Magical/Grand Gatherings # but opted to make ADRs thru regular wdw-dine phone #. When i had trouble with getting us all at one table for CG, I booked us at separate tables and then immedicately called the Grand Gatherings # to try to fix it. They told me that they see "on their screens" exactly what the dining people see...so there seemed to be absolutely no advantage to booking thru them. We are not planning cruises or the the special Grand Gatherings meals so I'm not really sure i even need the GG #!

Our group is also a grand gathering . I was told that we should always give our grand gathering number when making adrs because it will be listed on our itinerary. Some meals we are having together & some we are not. We will all be together for lunch at the Sci-fi dine in so our group number put us all in the same area since there is not a car to hold 14 people. The only number I needed to give them was the grand gathering number & the ages of the children! Hope that was helpful! I was also told that once the balance of my trip was paid I could request a copy of my itinerary & that anything I booked using the grand gathering number would appear on that itinerary. :flower: :cool1: :rotfl:

CCW & jessieroo - thank you for the information. Definately helpful as I had no info at all. As we are all family we will be eating all dinners together. (Celebrating one anniversary, one birthday and one wedding while at WDW)

JessieRoo - Thank you for the tip about giving the GG Number when making ressies. BTW - Lindenhurst, Long Island?

One advantage to using the GG # on your hotel reservation is that they are supposed to locate you near each other. We did a large GG in Feb. We were all located very close to each other. We did the Magical Fireworks Voyage (there were 30+ people in our group) everyone said it was one of the highlights of their trips. We also had a smaller group do the Safari Dinner, we enjoyed the food and the safari. Getting seated together for meals was a hit or miss thing. If there wasn't enough room at one table, they seated us at table beside each other. We were really lucky, I celebrated my wedding anniversary at CRT and we were seated together (all 18 people)! It really wasn't "one" table, it was like a whole bank of benches across a wall and we had the whole row of tables that ran the length of the wall. At Ohana's we were seated together one meal and then at our next dinner there we were seated at two tables next to each other. We definately did not eat every meal together, but had some very enjoyable group meals. Good luck!

I can certainly see the value of a Grand Gathering # to group multiple rooms together. But that does not even apply in my case because we are all staying in an OKW Grand Villa, obviously with just one reservation.
