Help! There are 11 of us and wonder what would be some of the best restaurants for a big party? Any ideas/opinions? What have you experienced as a big party??

All I can say is good luck. We were a party of 11 last Dec and had a time getting to sit together. Once at Cindy's it was a mess. We waited over and hour, do not want to visit that experience again. Just make ADR's as soon as you can. Get to the places early. Most places did try to seat us near each other. Mama Melrose, Le Cellier, Nine Dragon, Germany had us together. All other we were split up.

We have done "grand gathering" meals a few times. Because of our size (16 and 19) they had to sit us next to each other. Chef Mickey's,Ohana and Wispering Canyon did a great job. We all had a blast with the various atmospheres!

We had a party of ten in May 2006. CRT had are tables put together and ready for us. Boma had a huge table for us--i think it was one big one. Hollywood and Vine sat us together. Garden Grill sat us together. They have booth style so it made it hard for the young ones to get up from thier sets to get pics with the characters. Rainforest cafe put two tables together for us also. They were all very helpful and kept r ordres staight very good staff!

OHANAS AT THE POLY IS A REALLY GOOD PLACE. REALLY BIG TABLES AND GREAT SERVICE!!! :thumbsup2

I don't have any experience as a large group- YET! It looks like we will be there the week before you-grand gathering of 13. We made our ADR's early and went through group dining. We have ADR's for Hoop-de-doo, Ohana, Kona, Pt 50's, Boma, Coral Reef, Le Cellier, and 1900 Park Fare. I think we may be split into seperate tables at CR and le'Cellier. Hopefully we will be close to each other.

That is great news. We were concerned about RainForest in DTD. Our ADR's are at H&V and GG also so hopefully we will have the same good luck you did.
One of the nights, we let the three different groups each pick where they wanted to go so that night will be easier! Thanks!

Well I wish you luck too! I didn't make any reservations at any resorts except Chef Mickey's because we are staying at ASMu and I thought the travel time would be too long. We are 'all day parkers'. Just having to slow down to eat is usually hard for us. Altough this time maybe be different, witht he GG we will have a 5 yr old and 18 mo. old. Our Daughters are 12 and their cousing is 13 so they will not want to go back early and take a nap with the young ones. This should be intresting! Take a deep breath and enjoy!

Our trip to rainforest cafe wasnt preplanned and we only had a 10 min. wait.FYI(if u have little ones) The place is dark and kinda loud with the animal noises. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food variety.
