Grand Gathering Benefits?

Just found out last week that our group of 8 is considered a "Grand Gathering." Are there any special benefits that come with the label?? I looked at Disney's website and all I could find were a few extras that cost a good bit extra Just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something. Thanks for your help

Your right, the extra do cost a bit extra. If you link your reservation as a grand gathering and you are all staying at the same resort they will try to book your rooms close together. Other than that there really were no perks that I found.

We did a grand gathering last year (11 people, 4 rooms). Only benefit was the linked room and dining reservations. There was another number that we could use to make dining reservations for over 8 people but ended up with better luck using the regular dining number! I think everything else connected to the benefit costs $.

They have a few special gatherings, but you are right, you have to pay for them, and lately we have had a hard time getting reservations for some of them anyway. I'm not really sure what the advantages are anymore, you get pins at check-in!

Our group is that size too. We got a special person to do our reservations, but that was the only special thing. When I looked up grand gatherings on the website, it was a ton of extra cost things like special dinners. But with that many people, maybe one of you has a special event like a birthday, anniversary, 1st trip to WDW, or something that has free benefits.
