Grand Floridian room question

Hello everyone, could someone tell me what would be some of the best rooms to request for a view of the Magic Kingdom..also are there rooms available in the main bldg. or is that all concierge? (what do you think is the best bldg. for MK view?) Thank you all........

To get a view of the MK from the GF, you must have a lagoon view book. This is the only "regular" room category that has views of the castle, garden view doesn't give you views of the MK. All the rooms in the main building are concierge rooms. There are a few of those that also have views of the MK.

We stayed in room 5441 for our honeymoon. This is in the Sago Cay building and we had a great view of the castle. Conch Key also has great views of the castle. I think Boca Chica has great views of not only the castle, but the whole lagoon, including the Contemporary and the Polynesian. There are some lagoon view rooms that do NOT face the castle...they just face the wedding pavillion and the Polynesian. Even if you book lagoon view you are NOT guaranteed a view of the castle. But it's worth it to take the chance, in my opinion. Hope this helps.

We stayed in Boca Chica and we had a wonderful view of the whole lagoon! I believe one whole side of this building has views of the whole lagoon. I believe that side was the odd numbers.

If you book a lagoon view and then say MK view, they will 'try' to accomodate you.

According to the official WDW website, your room choices at the GF are as follows:

Lagoon View
Take in spectacular views of the Seven Seas Lagoon.

Garden View
Enjoy expansive views of Resort grounds from your Guest room.

For your particular situation, you would need to book a Lagoon View room, and put in a ~request~ for a Magic Kingdom view. As others have stated here, Disney will try their best to honor your request, but they cannot guarantee it. As you can imagine, the GF probably gets more requests for the Magic Kingdom view than they do for any other view.

I have been fortunate to have received a MK view on several of my GF stays -- click here for MK view and click here for another MK view. The MK view is really wonderful. I hope you get one of those views, too, ~sigh.~
