I have looked at all of the Grand Floridian dining because I was told on my first trip and honeymoon we must eat there. I have narrowed it down to Narcoossee's. Has anyone eaten here? It looks amazing! I also have looked at 1900 Park Fare and Citrico's. What would your Grand Floridian choice be? I am thinking a dinner meal. Thanks for everyones input! This is my first post on the DISboards!

Welcome! Narcoossee's is a great choice. The filet mignon there is wonderful. Try to time your reservation so you can watch the MK fireworks from the waterfront terrace for some extra romance. I've done all the GF restaurants and Narcoosse's is my fav. 1900 Park is nice for a character breakfast. GF Cafe is good for an uncomplicated quality meal, but nothing special. Citricos is a little to stuffy for me for a vacation meal and the food is a bit too tortured, in my opinion.

Welcome to the DIS!! I have been to all of the TS at the Grand except for Victoria and Albert's. 1900 Park is a great character breakfast (one of my favorites on property) but is also a good character dinner. At dinner they have Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Drizella, and Anastasia. The character interaction makes the meal. They are hilarious. The food is okay for a buffet. Grand Flo Cafe will give you a nice meal but I don't think that it is memorable or special. Citricos is probably one of my least favorite signatures at Disney. There is nothing wrong with it at all. They food was good but its doesn't appeal to me as much as others. On the other hand, I love Narcoossees and definitely recommend it! I love the atmosphere. The last time I went was in July and we got the calamari for an appetizer, we both got the housemade fettuccine "scampi", and strawberry shortcake for dessert. It was delicious and can't wait to go back! As PP said, I definitely suggest making your ADR around Wishes. The view from the porch is my favorite.

:welcome:
I've been to GFC, Citricos and Narcoossee's at the GF and without hesitation, I would recommend Narccoosse's over the other two. In fact, Narcoossee's is favorite restaurant in WDW. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding. I really like the calamari, whole lobster, and whatever is the seasonal chocolate dessert.

Question: Are you on the dining plan? If yes, then the lobster value cannot be beat at Narcoossee's so I would recommend that. That being said, meal per meal, I actually prefer Citricos. I think the food quality is a slight notch above Narco but really, you can't go wrong with either.

Grand Floridian Café is an undiscovered gem amongst Disney Dining but its not as fancy as the other 2 restaurants.

On your honeymoon is their any room for Victoria & Alberts? It is one if the best restaurant in central Florida but all the others are great too. One of the reasons I enjoy staying their is the amount of great dining options without any travel needed.

Agree with Narcoossee's for a honeymoon, particularly if you can time it to be around Magic Kingdom/Wishes fireworks time. They have a viewing deck and when the time comes for fireworks, they will basically empty the restaurant to let everyone watch (for anyone who wants to watch from outside, which is pretty much everyone). They are not kicking you out, and your table will still be there when you get back. Obviously, you want to be careful not to have your entrée put down in front of you just as the fireworks are about to start, but we have found that the staff builds the dining experience around the fireworks (at least for those who are eating around that time) and go to great pains to make sure you are taken care of properly.

Narcosses is an AMAZING choice, and I second what everyone is saying about getting a reservation around fireworks time. Citricos has great service and ambiance, but the food is hit or miss. Try Grand Floridian Cafe for lunch - they make a great burger with poached lobster on top of it for a reasonable price.

When you go to Narcosses get the almond crusted cheesecake for dessert - its one of the best on property!

I absolutely love the Grand Floridian Café, for breakfast and dinner, Yum.
