My husband and are staying at BCV for nine nights over Thanksgiving, leaving on the Disney Magic for seven nights on November 30. I want to schedule a signature 80 minute pedicure for me and a massage for him at one of the two resorts on Saturday before we depart for the cruise.

We will have a car, so either resort is fine--any advise or special concerns/considerations for one spa over the other? Thinkings we could take in a quick lunch either at Downtown Disney if we do Saratoga Springs or monorail for a jaunt into Magic Kingdom for a hot dog if we do Grand Floridian.

Thanks for any experience advice.

I prefer Saratoga Springs. We just seem to get better service there. :thumbsup2

The spas reverted back to Disney a year or so ago. Prior they were run by a contracted vendor.

I would think that since one manager now runs both spas, the service would be comparable.

My last facial was at SSR and I enjoyed the experience more than my occasions at GF.

Thanks! We will have had dinner at GF earlier in the trip, so visiting SSR with a stroll back and forth between Downtown Disney might be nice.

Was this before or after Disney took the spas back?

It was during the transition.

Although Niki Bryan Spas no longer manage the resort spas, employees were able to reapply and interview with Disney during the transition. There are new faces as well as Niki Bryan employees who became Disney cast members.
