We normally stay CL at the Poly, however we are looking at booking a CL stay at the GF in the Sugar Loaf building for our upcoming October vacation. Looking for some recent reviews/pictures, etc from those who have stayed in the Sugar Loaf CL building recently. Any rooms/views better than others?? Rooms to avoid??

thanks!!

I took my dd17 for a mom n me trip and stayed 2 days at CBR and one day at GF in Sugar Loaf Club. The side facing the marina looks lovely and you can see the monorail too. I didn't get that request and had 6310. It was to the left of main entrance facing the pool. It had a tree in front of it and you could see the crane (construction) too. It was on the 3rd floor and because of corner location ( look at picture of building) it was very private. Unless noise or smell of water bothers you I think marina side better.

Housekeeping was great and let me stay in room until 2p on checkout day!

Food offerings were good and restocked quickly too! The negative is blandness of the club space.

Location really was nice, pool, marina, main bldg all close by!

We really enjoyed our stay! We have only stayed club level at CR and hope to try Poly next. We love all monorail resorts!

Have a great time whatever you decide!

We stayed in SL last summer. We are big Poly fans but got a great deal and tried the GF. The GF is beautiful. We had a beautiful room facing the marina. The resort was the cleanest one we've ever stayed at and mousekeeping was fabulous. The lounge was not as nice as the Poly and much smaller. The food was good, but still thought the Poly offerings were better. We may have just hit a bad week, because most people seem to have the opposite experience. I'm glad we tried it, and I'm sure you will have a great time.

We stayed in September of 2011 in the Sugar Loaf building Room 6314. We had a nice view of the quiet pool. You do not want to stay on the first floor because of the noise from the concierge lobby. A rather large group of conventioners were booked the SL building and they were loud. I was disappointed in the SL building. I expected more from the flagship of the Disney resorts. Our visit was okay, but, really, nothing special.
