Grand Floridian and food allergies?

We normally stay at PO - Riverside and really like that their food court is allergy friendly - with lots of options. Looking at staying at the Grand Floridian next trip but wondering if there are good food options there for my allergy kiddo's. Do they have a food court option? or just the restaurants? TIA

There are no food courts at the deluxes, just restaurants. There are allergy menus available on the app for all the resort locations and I suggest looking at them ahead of time. I have a tree nut allergy and GF had plenty of options when I stayed there. Never had an issue at any of the deluxes actually, even at the Poly.

The QS, Gaspy's, does a terrific job! I'm dairy and gluten intolerant, and they feed me nicely indeed.

As the prior poster indicated, food courts are not a Deluxe thing.

What to be aware of at Gaspy's is that if the mobile ordering menu doesn't cover your kids' allergies, you won't be able to mobile order.

You'll need to go in and talk to a CM, telling them you need allergy ordering. When we were last there, it was a CM at the bakery case to the left as you enter who handled ordering for allergies. That was over a year ago, though, so it may be done elsewhere by now.

The allergy-UNfriendly menu is bizarrely organized anymore. (Scroll waaaaay down to the bottom of the Gasparilla Island Grille menu on the Disney site, not AllEars which doesn't list the a-f items.)

If anyone has more than one allergy or any not regarded as common, it's tons easier to go into Gaspy's, ask for where to allergy order and simply tell the CM what you need. They'll help figure out what menu items can be made safe.

The GF's quick service is Gasparilla Island Grill. It's been a while since I've eaten there, but considering allergy menus are available at the other GF restaurants, I would think Gasparilla would have options as well. If you do a Google search for Grand Floridian Gasparilla Grill Allergy Menu, you should see several results. I don't know how current they are, but you should be able to find something.

Don't forget that you have access to all of the restaurants on the monorail too. Check out the quick service menus at Contempo Cafe and Captain Cooks. The Contemporary and the Poly also have table service restaurants.

My wife has an unusual food intolerance, salt, and we own at GF so we eat there often. Every restaurant and Gasparillas when we go we explain and they always accommodate. Even at the pool bar they made her potato barrels with no salt right there. Truth be told her food tends to be a bit better because they always make it fresh! LOL. But we are patient as it takes time. Most anywhere in Disney they will accommodate. Our last trip we were at Sunshine seasons at the place where they do rotisserie chicken and she asked. They chef came over and made her fresh chicken thighs that were so good! Took a little while because he cleaned the grill and everything to make sure no additional salt. But we are always appreciative and prepared to wait because they are going out of the way for us

GF is the only current wdw resort with room service. So you can call and place your order from the room and inquire about your options. 👍

QS at Deluxes tend to be pared down versions of those at the Moderates, which are pared down versions of the ones at Values. All will accommodate dietary restrictions, but there will be fewer choices the higher up the hotel food chain you go.

True. However, the room service menu is very limited and pretty expensive as room service tends to be.

We've used it a few times and found the food excellent.
