Grand Floridian 1 bedroom villa booked!

We are so excited about staying at the Grand Floridian Villas, 1 bedroom Lake view, even though we are not owners there. BWV, OKW and BCV are our home resorts. Just a 3 nights late January before boarding the Fantasy for 7 nights.

Any experienced GF folks who can give us some not to miss things to do there?

Gasparilla Island Grill has a okay QS menu with seating outside next to the boat dock.

Beaches Pool Bar & Grill has good drinks and a okay bar food menu and it is next to VGF.

We enjoy going to the main lobby in the evening and listening to the musicians.

We're doing a night in a 2 BR in mid October and I'm equally as excited! We had originally booked the 10th - 18th at AKV (our home resort). I've been stalking air fare from CT since Jan, and it's been crazy expensive, even playing with dates. FINALLY, last week, the 10th - 19th, via jet blue, hit $300 a person (which is $50 to $100 cheaper than it has been!!). But that meant extending a day.

Checked online and not a lot of availability (SSR, pretty much, only...which we would have been fine with). Called member services and the CM showed lots of SSR avail, and she showed ONE 2BR at the GF. We snapped it up, quick!!

Now, I think I'm almost as excited about gettting a chance to stay there as I am the rest of the trip. ALMOST.

We own at BW and SS, but we just ended our family trip with 3 days in a 2 bedroom at GF. It was amazing. If I could manage to downsize, I would seriously want to live in one. lol. The kids could not get over the TV in the mirrors. haha.

I am staying there for a whole week next week, we own at SSR and BLT

We had our first trip as DVC owners (SSR) in May and managed to get two nights in a one bed lake view........all I can say is WOW we loved it.

We just bought VGF direct in December and have our first stay in a one bedroom coming up during the first week of October. Glad we bought when we did!

For things to do/try at GF, eat at Citrico's! Loved our meal there.

The original sales pitch was that unless we owned GFV we would be able to get booked. We are so glad that it was available and called right on the 7th month out. We are looking forward to just staying there in the MK area and relaxing. No Epcot this trip, sorry Rose and Crown!

We own at SSR and just got the 2 bedroom for Feb. vacation. I was online right at 8 on the 7th month mark. We are all very excited since that's our favorite. I see though that there is still availability.

We have some work to do in order to stay at each DVC resort.
