Grand Floridan Cafe?!?

Hello! I'm looking for anyone who has eaten at the Grand Floridian Cafe to share their positive and negative opinions on it. We're planning on eating there for dinner in December and we want to dine in the Grand Floridan because of the wonderful christmas decorations there...would GF Cafe be a good choice? Thanks!!

I agree with the other poster, its nice to hear about experiences but if you really want to try some place, go for it!! After saying that we will give our positive plug on the GFC. We adore this place and it is a new tradition for us. We have eaten here our last 2 visits, 1 for lunch and the last for breakfast, which we did twice because it was sooooo good. If you'd like to see our review click here We hope that helps and gets you excited, we are very jealous that you will be there at Christmas. One year we will have to go then. We always seem to end up there for lunch when we go to the MK. We like a glass of wine with our lunch!!! Anywho, my husband is always very happy with his fish sandwhich and I love the chicken noodle soup!

my sister and i had dinner there in september (a month ago)...
we sat way in the back by a window looking out on the GF courtyard....
the decor of the cafe is lovely and the service is outstanding....the person who seated us was charming as can be and our waitress was sweeter than sweet....in fact all the CMs were....coming by to chit chat with us...

and then there was the food.....yummmmmm.........excellent...
my sister ordered fish, i can't remember which kind and said it was superb...
i ordered the salmon, which was also excellent....
unfortunately, the basket of rolls was also amazingly delicious and i ended up eating 3 rolls (not exactly on my diet)....
and then there was desert.....they have these tiny little cakes so you don't feel so bad about ordering one...
my sister had the key lime pie (i think she did....she usually orders key lime)..
i had the chocolate mouse type cake...oh my god....it was gooooooooooooood.....sinfully good.....really really good...

so....does that help?...
i would definitely eat there again...

by the way, the people at the tables around us all ordered hamburgers, which looked really good as well...those huge steakburger type hamburgers...
when i asked the waitress for suggestions of house specialties, she mentioned that many people love their hamburgers.....

actually, i can't wait to eat there again......

I agree with the others, check the menu and if it appeals to you, give it a try. I can tell you this... Grand Floridian has two of the best restaurants in the southeastern US. I would expect the cafe to be of the highest quality too.

I stayed at the GF last December and ate several meals at the GF Cafe. It is very good and not overly expensive.

The staff is quick and efficient and very nice. You will enjoy it very much. The menu has a variety and the desserts are yummy

We have a dinner reservation this year from December 6th! Can't wait to go again.

We ate at the Cafe last Sunday for Dinner. All of the food was good but the service was slow. We were on the dining plan which lengthens the meal somewhat but I believe two and a half hours is a little long.
