would love to hear reviews for the Grand Floridan Cafe dinner. Also, what type of salads do they serve?

We had possibly one of our best Disney experiences here. We went for our wedding anniversary a few years back and they treated us like absolute royalty. I think it's because it's not somewhere people would typically go for anniversary, but we've always loved the food there so wanted to go. They couldn't do enough for us, the manager kept coming out to check on us, they brought us little extras they fussed over the kids. I couldn't have been more impressed. We've been many times, and have always loved the food, and the relaxed atmosphere. I'd totally recommend it!

Salad-I always get the same thing there-the Chicken Caesar salad. I LOVE it-that's why I always get it. Surprisingly, though, the last time I was there, the young boy (around 12 yo) sent his back because it was too "salt and pepper-y". I didn't think so. I always go for klunch, not dinner, so I can't comment on that time. Bright and airy at lunch.

Full menu over at allearsnet.com No comment on the salads, but we've eaten there 1/2 dozen times over the years and liked it. We like it much more than several of those eateries you hear so much about. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to someone who likes the choices on the menu.:earsboy:

Love Grand Floridian Cafe, we held our daughter's wedding rehearsal lunch there almost 9 years ago now, but everyone loved the food we were treated so nice, they made special menus for us and put us in the back of the restaurant all by ourselves.
We have been back several times since. The last time was in March for our granddaughter's 6th birthday. They treated her like a princess bringing out a small bouquet of flowers for her then a birthday cupcake THEN a huge to-go cupcake, talk about sugar rush by the end of the day.
Now the food, lol I had the Grand cafe open faced sandwich, it was yummy and filling!
My husband and son in law had the kobe burgers, they enjoyed them. My daughter had the Rueben sandwich, which was good but really heavy.
Kids ate off the kids menu...same old, same old- Pizza.

Enjoy!

We ate there a few years ago and had a great dinner. It was probably one of the best steaks we have had at Disney.

went there last december the day we arrived in orlando for dinner and it was really, really great.

i know one of us had the shrimp and grits and i have never seen a plate of food inhaled so quickly.

it also helped that our 2-almost-3 year old at the time decided to pass out in his stroller moments before arriving at the restaurant, so it was a rare adult-only meal for us. :)

I love their french onion soup. The salmon was good too. I've gone back specifically for the soup though

We ate here on our June trip and it was amazing - one of our best meals (and we didn't have a bad experience in 8 days). DH had the chicken and I had the pasta dish and both were delicious. Our service was phenomenal as well. We're already planning to return on or 2018 trip.

Its one of my favorites! Its nice and quiet in there and the decor is very pretty! Food is great. Ive only been for lunches, so cant comment on dinner, but Im sure its great too.

The French Onion soup is great, the steaks and the dessert are just wonderful.

We ate at the GF Cafe on our recent trip before Christmas and it was our favorite restaurant. So much so, we decided to go again on our last night. Both servers were great and every meal we ate was delicious. We were seated at the back one time and we were able to see the MK fireworks from our table. Highly recommend it.

Our recommendtions:
. . . appys:... Crab Cakes, Onion Soup

. . . dessert:. Boston Cream Pie

NOTE: The Cafe is on the ground floor overlooking the pool and courtyard. It is airy and light inside, with a sophisticated coffee shop appeal. The food is tasty, with quality well above average, but selections nothing too out of the ordinary. Our service always has been outstanding. Worth jumping to for breakfast or dinner. The lunch menu has changed and now not worth the journey, unless you are already there. We like the Onion Soup and the Grand Sandwich, which is close to an open-face club with an interesting Boursin cheese sauce and fried onion straws, which the wife and I like to share as it is so big. For dinner, the Bone-In New York Strip Steak is always tasty; the Shrimp and Grits not so much. By the way, a good place to take young kids to start learning manners as it is seldom very crowded.
