Has anyone done the Grand Cayman Island tour, where you hire a taxi? If so, I have some questions:

1-How long is the tour, and where do you go?

2-How much does it cost, and does it include the admission fee to the Turtle Farm or other places?

3-Did you enjoy it? I can't convince my children to visit the stingrays, and I'm hoping that this will be a good overview of the island.

Thanks.

We did the Grand Cayman Island tour on our own. You get the taxi/tour at the taxi dispatch station, basically right at the dock. Oceanside.

It is approximately $20 per person (when we went about 1 1/2 years ago), plus a tip for the driver/guide at the end. Ours was great.

We went to turtle farm (yes the admission is included in that 20 you already paid), hell, govenors house, saw the gingerbread house, rumcake factory is right beside turtle farm, stopped at a beach for pictures (no one in our group wanted to stay, or the driver would have dropped us at a beach if we wanted when the tour was done), checked out some of the vegitation, neighborhoods etc. The tour lasted approx two hours and was well worth the money. We didn't feel rushed at all and it was a great way to get good overview of the island.

Loved the turtle farm..you can pick up/hold/pet the turtles and take as many pics with them as you want. Turtle farm also has a great souvenier shop, the perfect place to get postcards and stamps to mail back to friends and family..mailbox is right out front. Hell was fine, we wanted to go there specifically to get the postcards/stamps to send home with the hell postmark. There are also a couple smaller souvenier shops there, of course the hell post office.

We did this right when we got off the ship..loved it.
