My DH and I will be staying at the new GC hotel in Disneyland so I checked with MS to find out park ticket prices. I read on the DL board that on site hotel guests can get hopper passes to enter both DL and DCA the same day, but I couldn't find ticket prices anywhere. MS didn't answer my question about hopper pass prices (it was almost as if they didn't know about the new DCA park) so I called the Grand Californian hotel directly today.

Here is what I found out and I thought I'd share for other DVCers who might be headed to DL/DCA:

On site resort guests at the 3 DL hotels (including when using DVC points for the reservation) can purchase hopper type passes that will allow you to enter both parks during a given day. The following are the prices I was quoted:

2 day hopper: $91 adult ; $71 child (age 3-9)
3 day hopper: $116 adult ; $92 child

It was interesting because the guest services person I spoke with at the GC didn't know what DVC was, but she did know that points are used to reserve rooms there. She thought that I had called earlier today so other DVC members must have similar questions.

Thank you for the info! Planning an Oct. Trip to DCA!

I was going to wait a while to call since I'm not planning on going until March 2002, but it's good to know that we can 'hop' when staying on points!

The point calculator (you know where to find it :) ) has the GC in there. We just came back from 4 days there. I looked up inthe point calculator and it said it would have cost us 83 points to stay for 4 days (we didn't use points). The GC is nice, although I didn't find it to be like your typical Disney property. We were on the concierge level. Found it to be not altoghether kid friendly. It was a nice hotel. Rooms are nice. You have a separate entrance to DCA from the masses, you can get in a half hour early.

I am so glad that you got your answer easily. I have been trying for 4 months to get someone to tell me the price of the tickets. I did finally get them to tell me the price of 2 adult and 1 child 4 day hopper. It is going to be just under $400 total for us.

Apparently, DL did not load the price of the hoppers into the system until after DCA was open.

Robin = Hi!!!!!!!! Say hello to Mike and Matthew!! Cannot wait for your info as we will be at GC in April. I called and found out you can not buy more than a six day hopper. We will be in CA for 15 days and got lucky and ordered annual passes for both parks. We read on the boards that ticket sales for AP's were stopped. I was in the Disney Store the next day (Sunday) and asked if I could order the 2 park AP for CA and was told yes. With out DC discount they were around $189 each. We waited two weeks and the call came and the vouchers are in our possesion. The CM's at our store wondered if we would receive them as on Monday they received the e-mail to stop selling them. We are so looking forward to coming and going from the parks as it is Easter week and donot want to be there at the most crowded parts of the day. By the way - the six day hopper was $185 so for 4 more $ we are in whenever we want! Guess the breakeven is seven day if they ever sell the two park AP's again. I have the prices listed as follows. 3 day adult for $111 child $87 - the 4 day hopper for $137 for adult and $107 child, the 5 day hopper for $163 for adults and $128 for child and the six day for $185 for adults and $145 for kids. This is before DC discounts.

REad with interest your hopper price passes. If you were to buy a 1 day pass for each park (at $43 ea), it would only come to $86.00! There is NOT a whole days of activities at the new park, but certainly there is at Disneyland.

Good luck and enjoy!

I am still a DISNEYLAND fan, that won't change for a while...even with the new park!
