Grand Californian Hotel the week after Thanksgiving in Dec...

My friend is planning on going to DL the first week in December (the week after Thanksgiving). They are currently offering good deals for the summer, but not for December (yet). When is a good time to book? She doesn't want to wait too long and have the hotel fill up, but she doesn't want to book too soon and miss any deals. Do they usually offer any good package deals for this time of year? She will not need airfare. She is not an annual passholder (so can't get deals that way). She just needs hotel and park hoppers. Any thoughts? Thanks all....
