I could use some advice. We are planning a trip for the end of next May for my daughter's graduation trip. We are doing 3 nights at Universal then moving over to Disney for 6 nights where I booked a bounceback offer while there in September. We are planning to stay at Royal Pacific mostly for the EP. We priced CB and purchasing EP, but it came out more expensive. I'm used to Disney where I book and plan early. I'm struggling with the best way to plan the Universal portion. Should I purchase an annual pass for one of us and use that to get a discount on the resort? Or should I just purchase our tickets from Undercover Tourist and try for a discount code from Cheaptickets for the resort? I have a AAA membership, too. If I buy an annual pass when will I be able to book a room for end of May? We will be there Memorial weekend. Will that be available for an annual pass discount? I know - lots of questions. Thanks for any help!

Welcome to the Boards!

For a short 3-day stay, my opinion is to buy the 2-day tix at UT (the 3rd day is free right now from them). Then call the hotel directly and get the AAA discount and book to lock the room in. AP discounts might not be out yet, and even when they do come out, not sure about memorial weekend. Good luck.

Ya, I wouldn't get an AP until you know you'll need it. You can upgrade your ticket from UT if necessary. You don't need to have the AP to get the APH rate.

Then I'd watch for a good 3rd party rate and book it. I'd continue to watch for lower rates and cancel and rebook if you find something better.
