my daughter is graduating to
Jr High and wanted to say something

hi everyone. i am graduating elementary school this year, and i just wanted to say to the other graduates on disboards, that even though you may not go to the same jr high/ high school or colledge as some of your friends, you will always be able to make new friends. you can always make new ones, but dont forget about the friends you may not see anymore. they will always hold a place in my heart. i definately know one of my friends will not be going to my school. i will miss her very much, but she will always be a very good friend of mine! i hope you all can make new friends, and still be able to hang with the ones you have made through out your life. always remeber them!

My daughter went to a a tri-town jr high school. Many of the kids separated when they went into high school. Some went to the parochial high school. My daughter was a day student at a local prep high school. Her best freind from jr high stayed at the tri-town high school and is still her very best friend!

They were very good about keeping up with their relationship. They both understood that their schedules would be VERY different, but they made it work.

They both just graduated from college and would visit each other at school. They are STILL the best of friends!

First of all, Congratulations!

Your words are very true. My kids all went to a middle school where 80% of the kids went to one high school, and the other 20% went to the one they go to. Most of their friends went to the other school, but they all made new friends by getting involved in sports and other clubs. They still keep in contact with their old friends as well though, so it is the best of both worlds.:)

Cogswel Cogs daughter.....can I borrow you!?! Our school district is undergoing a MAJOR redistricting- adding 2 new elementary schools, doubling the size of another, and opening a new junior high. We are having hearings on the redistricting and parents are angry and quite vocal. Perhaps we need a young lady like you to come and be the voice of reason! Sometimes, adults need to look to young people like you to learn how to act.

Congratulations on your graduation. My youngest, dd11 is also going to Jr hi next year (Ds13 is already there and we also have a DD17 in HS and DD21 in college!). I have a feeling you will be quite the leader in your new school. Let us know how the year goes and tell us about some of the special friends you meet.

Cogswel Cogs- hug her tight tonight. She is a special young lady!

thank you all fopr such nice comments!

i hope i will be able to keep intouch with my friends even if i dont go to the same school as them. my best friends is going to a different jr. high school, and i will miss her very much, but im sure we will be able to see each other alot. i accually dont think anyone in my class is going to the same school, but i will try as hard as i can to keep intouch. and no one should feel nervouse about making new friends. just be your self, and remember that even though you may be seperated from your friends, you will always find a way to keep in touch!!
