I'm curious about the impact of Grad Nights on crowds at the parks & Citiwalk.
At the time I made my plans to visit Universal back in December, I assumed that park hours for Spring would be extended. Now I've found out that these hours are because the park is being closed to the general public for Grad Nights.
Does this event impact crowds during the day at the parks? I could see where it could either make them lighter, due to people not wanting to go on shortened days and local teens waiting for the evening event. On the otherhand, could the park be swarmed with even more people; locals, who are planning to make a day of it?
I'm also concerned with the effect on Citiwalk, as the parks discharge their entire populace right around dinner time. In a place where the restaurants don't take reservations, I'm thinking these restaurants will quickly become inundated with throngs of people all at once. I'm wondering whether it might be more worthwhile to head back to the resort and hit Citiwalk for supper a couple of hours later, once the tide has had a chance to subside, or if the crowds would stay pretty constant.
Has anyone been to the Parks and/or Citiwalk on the nights the parks close early? If so, please share your experiences!
