Can anyone comment on what kind of impact Grad Nights have on the crowd situations at the theme parks during the day these activities take place? For instance should we avoid MK on these days, etc.?
We were at the MK on a Grad Night in early May once and it had little to no impact on crowds. They were bussing in the students as we were leaving the park that night. They did have a ton of baloons and a few other graduation decorations up for that night though.
We have been to MK during Grad night time for the last 3 years. We haven't noticed any impact at all. The kids don't get to the park until after it is closed so you don't see any extra crowds around. MK does close early on those nights but that is about it.
The only thing is that Friday and Saturday the parks close at 7pm so if you were waiting to see spectromagic or the fireworks you are out of luck. We were very dissapointed the last time we were there at that time. Now since I have been on these boards I won't make that mistake again.

Wishes is now pretty much every night now except Grad nights so you won't have to miss them. It used to be that MK fireworks were only on weekends during May but not anymore. You should not have any problem viewing Wishes on another night. I prefer to see Wishes on a weeknight now anyway as it is always less crowded.
Skiwee1 That is good to know. Like I said before though, if you plan to go to the MK those grad nights you won't be able to get in. I agree it would be better to see it during the week, just need to plan ahead.

True. We are going to be at WDW for two weekends that have the Grad nights. We do not let this affect our plans at all as we go to a different park during those days. We will still end up seeing Wishes and Spectro 4 times during our stay and that will be plenty! LOL!
