Grace period for reservations

We have 3:50 reservations at the Crystal Palace. We will be eating there before the Christmas party on 11/12/15. Obviously, we can't run our Christmas party tickets until 4:00 and then it will take us 10-15 minutes to walk down Main Street. Will Crystal Palace honor our reservation at 4:15?

I've read there is a short window grace period, but as others will probably chime in there is no guarantee they will honor it. Personally, I think they would but that's just me.

I've been thinking about cancelling it as I don't want to mess up the whole schedule over there and make someone else have to wait, etc. I am not opposed to doing that if the consensus is that it is bad form on my part.

there will be a large queue of other folks coming in at 4. It may not be just walk up to a turnstyle and bolt down the street

The unofficial rule is 15 min. you won't make that and may risk getting charged $10 pp

try for another time or go with a plan b would be my suggestion

There is no guarantee that there will be ANY grace period for reservation. It is possible that if you are late that you will be charged the no show fee of $10 per person. You would have to decide if you are willing to risk that.

I wouldn't chance it. Plus, I thought that party ticket holders were not let in until 4:30. To me that reservation is just too early to reasonably expect that you will make it even close. As others have said, there is no official grace period. They actually ask you to check in early for reservations and are under no obligation to wait any amount of time for you.

If you are okay with the $10/person penalty, chance it. If you aren't don't. They aren't required to have any grace period, so you just don't know for sure. You could very well get there and be denied.

There is no official grace period so there is no way to know whether CP will seat you if you are potentially up to half an hour late. I would keep the reservation only if you are willing to pay the $10 per person penalty if you are turned away. Meanwhile, I would keep checking online for a later time.

If you decide to keep the reservation you should arrive at the turnstiles at least half an hour early (maybe more) because sometimes the turnstiles are enabled a little before 4:00. The earlier you arrive the closer to the front of the waiting crowd you will be. Once you've entered the park you must get your wristband before heading down Main Street so don't bypass the line of Castmembers.
