Gotta love bounceback! 10th ann. & family vaca PTR-9/201o-WE'RE BACK!

Oh honey, you are not having the best of it right now are you

Sorry about Gus, I hope that the antibiotics and fluids help. Think positive, he looks like he is a fighter and will get through this :goodvibes

I got your PM and will respond more there.

Chin up :flower3:

It is so hard to go through this. He's such a great cat and very loving. I'm trying to be positive but it's so hard. :sad1:

Oh, poor Gus! We thought one of our cats had kidney disease about a year ago - we were going through a ton of litter and he was drinking so much. We took him in and it turns out he's diabetic. He now has to eat a special food - at $30 a bag, no less, and get an insulin shot twice a day. It was a hassle at first, but now we're just used to it. I wish that had been Gus' diagnosis instead of kidney disease.:sad2:

I wish it was diabetes too. At least we would be able to medicate him. This isn't going too well right now.

Poor little Gus Gus! I sure hope it is working for him! Good news for you: AllEars has the MNSSHP dates up with prices. Tickets go on sale May 1st. The 14th is the first date! I am super excited for this. I hope we can meet up either at MNSSHP or another day!

I read on AllEars that the tickets go on sale today. :confused3 I'm going to call at 7 to see if it's today or May 1st. We're aiming for the 14th. Hopefully we will both get the same night and we can meet up and say hi there. :wizard:

I hope things start going better for all of you. It sucks when things pile up on us.

Thanks. I hop so too.

Yay!!! I got our tickets this morning!! :woohoo:

I can't believe how fast I got through. I was directly connected with less than 5 seconds wait time.

I got the AP rate for September 14th. The only bad thing is that I have to pick them up at Will Call. They won't mail them because they want to see the AP. That's cool though since we got the discount. Total for 5 tickets was $256.

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

That's excellent! We want to attend the party on the 21st!! I won't be buying my tickets for another month or two though. I was told i'd be safe if I waited! I sure hope so!

They didn't ask to see my Annual Pass? I'm really glad because I actually only have 10 day tickets right now, will be upgrading at the parks to annual passes in May.
I ordered tickets for 3 days, and was able to get the discount on 2 days!
This will be our first one, and I am very excited, i want to make sure I see it all!! :woohoo:

YAY for getting your MNSSHP tickets! We had to go to will call to get park tickets a couple times and it's not that bad. :) Yay for the discount too!

:yay: I am going to get them in the next week or two. Still need to figure out how many we are going to need. :goodvibes

I've waited before to get them and never had a problem. I know people that get them when they arrive and no one ever had problems. I think you'll be safe to wait.

Are they sending the tickets to you or are you picking them up at will call? They told me that if I wanted them sent to me that I could not take the discount but if I was willing to pick them up at will call, I could take the discount and show the pass when I get there. Right now I have exchange vouchers for the AP's. I have to go and exchange them for the AP's when we get there.

You will LOVE the party! It's awesome. :thumbsup2 I love that they run the parade twice. It's nice to have the option of when you want to see it.

I had to do the same with Cirque tickets one year and it wasn't bad. I figure I have to go and exchange my AP vouchers too so I will do that and get my tickets at the same time. :wizard:

Yay for tickets!!!

:yay: :yay: :yay: for getting your tix :teeth:

:dancer::dancer::dancer:

So glad that you were able to get yours too!!!

:yay: I am going to get them in the next week or two. Still need to figure out how many we are going to need. :goodvibes

:dance3::dance3: Yay!!! Next we have to pick a meeting place so we can say HI!!!!

Monday is just around the corner. I hope that all of my friends on the boards are able to get free dining at the resort of their choice!

I also hope that my brother makes the call at 7 a.m. to try and get it too. :rolleyes1 I don't think he is thrilled about it, but I think it will save him a good chunk of change, especially since he has a single ressie.

I've heard that free dining is pretty limited this year. I heard the same thing last year though so I wonder, are they really cutting back? Which resorts do you think it is harder to get free dining at?

So, I'm wondering if anyone does laundry while they are at Disney? With the darn luggage restrictions for those of us flying, it's almost a necessity. We're paying $80 each way to check our bags! Nutty, isn't it?

Last year we stayed at CSR. We were lucky enough to be by the laundry building so for the first time ever, I tried it. It was great. While the rest of the family was resting up in the middle of the afternoon, I went over the laundry building with a book and did a couple of loads. It was sort of hard to find the building, which to me was a good thing, because it didn't stick out like a sore thumb!

It was a short walk to and from our room and I am really glad that we took advantage of it. It was nice to come home with clean laundry that still had that "Florida" smell, if that makes sense.

Just wondering what everyone does. Also, anyone ever done laundry at WL?

I'm here and subbing; still have a lot to go back and catch up on :)
Looks like our trips overlap!

I'm trying to investigate about the Free Dining thing you were mentioning - sounds like you're saying there are only a limited number of people they are going to offer this to?

I'm not sure that it would beat the deal we already got on the resort, but I'm intrigued!

How fun that you're staying at WL! That was the resort I was really set on at first. It seems so cozy and warm - and a boat ride away from MK :wizard:

Oh gosh you'd better get on to your brother to go and get that free dining on his booking ASAP! Am glad it came out for you guys over there, I know you were hoping it would come out in time for your trip :)

Hi, and welcome! Nice to have you with us!

I've read that they have a limited number of rooms at each resort that are eligible for free dining. :confused3 On a positive note, I don't know anyone that has not been able to get free dining so maybe everyone will get what they want.

I love getting resort deals! I actually enjoy the research involved with resort selection.

We decided on WL because my family has not stayed there before. I think that they will like it. I love being able to get to MK by boat. Sometimes the whole TTC thing makes me nuts. Feels like it takes forever to get there. :lmao:

I know. Stefy, sometimes I just don't know what to do with him! He procrastinates! :rotfl2: I also want to see his entire ressie to see if we can make changes and save him some money. :rolleyes1

Hi, I'm here! I finally caught up on you PTR (that was a major goal of mine today!). I had many thoughts pop into my head along the way:

1. Wow, so sorry to hear about Joe's back issues. Ed (my hubby) has back issues too, and though surgery has never been suggested, we still know something of what it's like to go through that. I am SO GLAD that they're having him do PT first. Ed had to do PT last year for about 5-6 weeks, and that helped tremendously!!! It also helped give him the final motivation to start to lose some weight. I will be praying for you guys, please keep everyone updated.

2. Gus is so adorable!!! What a good birthday present. I'm a cat person myself (though since getting married I've learned to love doggies too). I'm so sad about the kidney issues, hoping for the best there too.

3. Wow, you weren't kidding when you said on my PTR that you liked Disney planing! I'm amazed at how you plan that way for trips every year, or sometimes multiple trips a year. But planning helps everyone sort their priorities so that there's less arguing there.

4. I LOVE all of the flashbacks that you did!!! :cutie: It's a really fun way to get to know another person. I already had an idea to do that on my PTR, and so now I'm definately hijaking the idea! :snooty:

5. Epcot is my favorite park too, and always has been, even since it was little. I was surprised when I was 14 and first heard the idea that a lot of my classmates thought it was "boring"-?? :confused3 I didn't know it a the time b/c the condition hadn't yet been recognized, but I was born with the travel bug :boat: :car: :cool1: and therefore any place with ten foreign countries was sure to be a hit with me!

Keep posting!!

I wanted to share these lovely gifts that I received from Stefy with all of you. She and Dave are so thoughtful and kind to have sent Joe and I such an awesome package of gifts.

First, I must say, we also received candy that was awesome but sadly, I have no pictures. :confused3 Can you guess why?:laughing:

Mickey and Minnie are adorable. They say LONDON on them. Pretty cool, isn't it.

Check out the beautiful necklace and awesome coin purse!

I am devouring this book! It's one of the best that I have read.

There was also a little princess hand towel which somehow I did not get in the photos. I don't know how that happened.:confused3

Stefy and Soopafly, you are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!:hug::hug:

Hi and Welcome! So nice to have you with us!!!

We are crossing our fingers on the surgery thing. I am hoping that PT will help but he has so much wrong with his back that it's really hard to tell. Glad to hear that PT worked for your hubby!! Joe is down a little over 40 pounds so far and he's doing great with the weight loss. Is your hubby "embracing" the weight loss thing? We didn't have that here at our house. :rolleyes1:lmao:

We love Gus. He is going back to the vet sometime next week for further testing. It is heartbreaking to know that we may lose him. I am devastated about that possibility. I had dogs growing up too. Cats were an adjustment once we got married but I love them and can't imagine not having them!

I love Disney planning. I so wish I could be a TA instead of being in HR but I have a great time planning our trips and trips for friends too. I find it relaxing.

Glad you enjoyed the flashbacks. I had a lot of fun with them.

We really love EPCOT. The entire family does actually. I know that some people think it's boring and I just don't get how they can think that. :confused3

Thanks for reading.

Well, my Disney OCD is kicking up big time. I am busily working on my binder this weekend. It is raining here and instead of housecleaning and stuff, I chose to do this instead.

DisneyStuff020.jpg

I have tabs for various subjects, sheet protectors, and pockets.

DisneyStuff021.jpg

DisneyStuff025.jpg

I have sheets that I call Day-By-Day that have a ton of detail. Didn't want to post them though because they contain ADR's, confirmation numbers, etc.

I also have an entire section that has menus for each place that we will eat. This way, while we are on the plane, the family can take a look and see what they like from each place.

There are a TON of them, but here are a few pages.

DisneyStuff024.jpg

This is my notes and planning journal. I take it with us and write notes in it to prepare for my TR. I used it for as many years in a row as I can and then get another one. I save them all as well. Last year I wrote notes each evening and then after the trip, on the plane home, I started planning our next trip and jotting down notes in this same book.

DisneyStuff026.jpg

Got some cool stuff in the mail from Disney!! :woohoo:

Yay for my maps!!!!!!

DisneyStuff014.jpg

And yay for our AP vouchers!!!

DisneyStuff017.jpg

I've been working with someone at Disney regarding the fiasco of trying to renew our AP's and not being able to get the price of our one day tickets from last year taken off as we have done in the last two years. The person that I am talking to said to keep checking my credit card as she is going to reimburse us so that we don't have to try and deal with the situation once we get there. I was very thankful and am watching now to see if we will get the credit. She said to call back in 60 days if I don't see it.

I know. Stefy, sometimes I just don't know what to do with him! He procrastinates! :rotfl2: I also want to see his entire ressie to see if we can make changes and save him some money. :rolleyes1

Lol! Well, no offence to guys out there, but men are useless when it comes to planning. I'm surprised he hasn't asked you to help him out knowing you are a Disney Pro :)

You are most welcome for the gifts. We really enjoyed picking them out for you and you and Joe are just great, even though we haven't met, I hope we can next year :)

Your binder is A.W.E.S.O.M.E.! You are so organised and everything looks so neat too and cute Tink notepad too :teeth:

It is funny because I end up planning the entire trip when we go and everyone just asks "what are we doing today." :rotfl2: Crossing my fingers that he calls on Monday and gets free dining....

Thanks again. Just love our gifts!

I do a binder every year. This year since we are staying at WL I chose a brown one...earthy. :lmao: It's a 2 inch binder and it's actually full already. I am working on my dining spreadsheets today. I am also going to do a small dining credit punch card like last year. It came in handy. I have a tiny hole punch that I carry in my backpack. Helps to keep us on track on what we are using. Sometimes digging through receipts can be a pain.

I have to go to the store and get more pockets so that I can laminate my CM thank you cards. I have a few more done that need to be laminated.

All of the mousekeeping tip envelopes have been done and are in the binder. Next I have to work on the envelopes for our TS meals.
