Gotta have ears! Traditional black or Anniversary gold?

So, is 2.00, whether you buy the ears there or not? How much is embroidery at MGM and DTD?

Yes.
I believe it is $7.00, but it is MUCH NICER, and you have options as to the font and I believe thread color.

The Mickey Ears were around $10 (not sure if the kids were less)...remember thinking was a bargin, compared to the $18 Stitch hat my DS had to have.

I was going to pick my ears up @ my 1st stop in MGM but, they do charge extra for the embroidery & it's done by computer method...and it would have taken 3 hours before they were ready for pick-up!

I wanted the "hand-done" look, IMO more magical.

I was not charged "extra" for the embroidery @ MK that was done before my eyes. I even got "free" bobby pins!

Asked the CM @ the time, they will not embroider hats bought elsewhere nor, will they will embroider the groom ears or bridal veil.

It's possible that they've changed their policy since last Dec. - can anyone verify a change in policy?

I know when we went last June, we had to buy our golden Mickey Ears at DTD...because every other place was sold out. We were told to hang on to our receipt and take the receipt and ears to The Chapeau to be embroidered. We did that and it was free at the time. I'm not sure of the policy now.

i remember hearing about that. the one CM told me that everytime they got a new shipment of the gold ears in, they'd be gone within days.

For Christmas I got really neat ears ~ they were like a Santa's hat but like the regular ears with white "fur" around the edge and a glitter shilloutte of mickey on the front.

Wow! When we were there last year, it was black, pink or gold...if you could find them. I love all of the new hats. I'll definitely be getting one of those this year.

We have those too. I bought them for me at the MVMCP!

They seem to have them for each holiday now. Right now they have a real cute one for St Pat's Day - Didn't think to take a pic of that one - but here it is from Ebay..

I'm so glad y'all posted this and I found it. Thoght I was going crazy about seeing the gold ears, and not finding any proof of 'em. I have my black ears from Disney Land, but I'm def getting the gold ones when we go to WDW.
